These days once evening rolls around the weather turns cool, and I start craving pizza and pasta outside on a terrace instead of indoors!! Yeonnam-dong has so many good-vibe restaurants... but this time I wanted pasta and pizza outdoors with a glass of wine on the side 🍽 so we went to the terrace at Classicdang, in Yeonnam-dong, for pizza and pasta haha.

Classicdang sits right in the middle of a Yeonnam-dong alley! We went early evening, so we could pick whichever we liked between the outdoor and indoor seats haha. The weather was so nice that day we headed straight outside, and having that outdoor-dining, night-market kind of feel while we ate was so good!!!!

What to order at Classicdang: Quattro Funghi pizza and Shrimp Aglio e Olio

There were so many menu options! Whenever I have to pick a menu, so many things look delicious that it's always hard to decide... While debating what to get, the pizza here looked really good!! So after some back and forth we ordered one pizza (Quattro Fungi), one pasta (Shrimp Aglio e Olio), and one glass of white wine!! haha.

While we were taking photos of each other and chatting, our order came out! Both dishes looked so delicious 😆 And eating outside made it feel even better!! For a while I couldn't even imagine eating outdoors in the heat... but these cooler evenings really do make you want to sit outside haha.

And we even had wine for the first time in a while lol lol, it was perfect for the outdoor mood lol lol.

Quattro Funghi pizza: the crust I actually finished

First, the Quattro Fungi Pizza with four kinds of mushrooms. It's a wood-fired pizza loaded with different mushrooms, and with every slice the mushrooms' distinct aroma and texture 🍕🍄🧀 combined with the cheese so well haha. It was even better than I expected lol.

And maybe because it's wood-fired, the dough itself was so good... Honestly I have a habit of never eating the crust end when I have pizza, but with this four-mushroom pizza at Classicdang I finished every single bit lol lol 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And it went so well with the white wine that I think that's part of why I didn't leave anything behind!

Shrimp Aglio e Olio: shrimp and arugula in every bite

Next was the Shrimp Aglio e Olio with shrimp and arugula. The signature oil base of aglio e olio got extra savoriness from the shrimp, and the arugula added its distinct fragrance on top for an aromatic finish!

The plump, chunky shrimp paired well with the oily noodles for a richer texture, and I enjoyed the pasta all the way to the last bite!! And of course! The aglio e olio also went really well with the wine lol.

Going back and forth between the light, nutty flavor of the mushroom pizza and the clean taste of the shrimp aglio e olio, with sips of wine in between, meant the food never got boring and I kept reaching for more haha.
