Jamsil patio bar with yagwanmun-ju and potato pancake: Daegang
Daegang is an aged-sashimi bar with an outdoor patio (yajang) at the entrance to Songni-dan-gil, right beside Seokchon Lake in Songpa, Seoul. A family of five sat at an outdoor table and ordered assorted aged sashimi, flounder sesame-oil gimbap (seaweed rice roll), corn cheese and a potato pancake, along with a shot of the owner's homemade yagwanmun-ju infused liquor. The writer was pregnant and only watched the drinks being poured, but still found the potato pancake and sashimi alone worth the night out at Daegang.
