Burger shop in Maetan-dong, Suwon for a solo after-work meal: 666

After work I was extra hungry and really craved something heavy and filling. I wanted a place with no parking stress where I could eat alone without feeling awkward, so I went to 666 Burger Main Branch (666버거 본점), a go-to handmade burger spot in Maetan-dong. Here's my review!

Is parking easy at 666 Burger Main Branch?

666 Burger Main Branch is at 112 Maeyeong-ro, Maetan-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, and it has a dedicated parking lot right behind the building. The red sign stands out, so it's easy to find even on a first visit.

I fought my way through the jammed after-work traffic to reach this Maetan-dong burger place. The bold red sign caught my eye from far away, even though it was my first time driving there.

The place is always busy, so I worried parking would be hell, but the lot behind the building turned out to be pretty roomy!

Opening hours are 11:00 to 24:00. Since it's open late, it would work for a late-night meal too.

Is 666 Burger Main Branch okay for eating alone?

The restaurant has an American burger joint style, with widely spaced tables and plenty of solo seats. Even though it serves greasy food, it felt clean and not sticky from the entrance on, so my first impression was good. The tables really were spaced quite far apart!

With so many solo seats, it's a perfect setup for office workers eating alone like me, who can watch a video and eat in peace.

How to order and the menu at 666 Burger Main Branch

You order yourself at the kiosk near the entrance. I lingered in front of the screen for ages choosing a set, but luckily nobody was waiting behind me, so I took my time and ended up ordering the Best Position set and, greedily, one more Classic Pose burger on its own haha.

There were plenty of burgers, including Classic Pose, Garlic Boom, The Museum, Best Position, Cheese in the Trap and Texas Red. The ingredient lists let you guess what each one tastes like!

There are sides too, like French fries, cheese fries, hash browns and chicken nuggets~

The self bar had forks, knives, napkins and wet wipes. The ketchup is in the fridge next to it, just so you know.

What does the Best Position set (₩13,000) taste like?

The Best Position set at 666 Burger Main Branch costs ₩13,000. The burger comes with a beef patty, American cheese, raw onion, pickles, tomato, romaine, mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce, plus fries on the side.

The moment I took a big bite of the Best Position, the juices from the thick beef patty hit me. The richness of the American cheese plus the crunch of raw onion and romaine gave it a great texture balance!

The fries that came with it weren't thin ones either. They're the thick type, fluffy and full of potato flavor, and dipped in plenty of ketchup they were insanely filling.

What does the Classic Pose single burger (₩8,500) taste like?

The Classic Pose on its own is ₩8,500 and comes with a beef patty, American cheese, tomato, romaine, bacon and 666 sauce. It tastes saltier and richer than the Best Position.

I added the Classic Pose because one set felt like not enough. If the Best Position is a well-balanced, classic handmade burger, this one is saltier and deliciously naughty. The savory crisp bacon and the signature 666 sauce stuck together perfectly.

After filling my stomach, all the stiff stress from the commute just vanished!
