I took home sandwiches with fresh, generous fillings from Eopcheonri382 (읍천리382), a great café near Chungbuk National University. The shop I picked up from has a distinctive retro feel, and it's cute and pretty too. I liked what I ordered so much that I want to come back and spend time inside next time.

Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch is on the 1st floor of 713-1 1sunhwan-ro, Seowon-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk, in Sachang-dong. It's open 09:00–23:30 on weekdays and 10:00–23:30 on weekends, with last order at 23:20.

It's roughly halfway between Sachang intersection and Chungbuk National University Hospital. Please check the map for the exact spot :)

Personally I find parking hard around Sachang-dong, but this branch has its own parking spaces, so it seemed fine to come by car.

What is the atmosphere like inside?

The interior is a tidy, cozy mix of white and wood, which I loved!

Eopcheonri382's signature retro touches add a focal point, so it never feels dull. The window seats, great for a solo café session, were totally my thing.

It's a café on the main road that I'd passed many times, but if I'd known the inside was this charming, I would have gone ages ago. (Totally in love ❤️)

You can choose from drinks like coffee, lattes, tea and juice, meals like salads, sandwiches, toast and tortilla wraps, and snacks like seed hotteok (sweet filled pancake) and walnut cakes. I took photos of the menu boards myself.

The drink lineup was impressive too, from coffee to all kinds of lattes, teas and juices.

There are even 1-liter drinks served in a bottle.

You can also order meal-style items like salads, sandwiches, toast and tortilla wraps, and there were seed hotteok, walnut cakes, yakgwa (traditional honey cookies), root-vegetable breads and more.

Takeout dinner after work: how were the sandwich fillings?

Since I dropped by on my way home from work, I ordered sandwiches and a tortilla wrap for dinner, plus coffee and a mango yogurt smoothie. Both the bulgogi sandwich and the ham-cheese sandwich had hearty fillings.

Wow... I was amazed when I opened them. The fillings in these sandwiches were seriously generous.

The tomato and lettuce were fresh, which I loved. I chose regular bread, but you can choose rye bread too.

I'd planned a light meal, but with plenty of bulgogi, egg and cheese, this sandwich is packed with protein, so I was even happier.

Mango yogurt smoothie and canned café latte

The mango yogurt smoothie at Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch is pretty to look at, and if you shake it well right before drinking, it's fragrant, fresh and sweet, everything you'd want.

The hot café latte also came sealed in a can, so there was no worry about spills while carrying it, which I liked.

With the sandwiches and coffee I ordered at this Chungbuk National University café, I had a simple yet tasty and nutritious dinner, and I really enjoyed it.
