Sinnonhyeon 24-hour café to print, scan & earn free cake: Selecto

These days most cafés close early, so it isn't easy to find a place to talk with a friend or study late at night. Then I found a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station and went to see it myself. It's "Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe" (셀렉토커피 신논현점 24 오토브루 카페).

Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon really open 24 hours?

By day it's a regular café with staff, and at night it runs unmanned. The orange color really stands out, and being able to visit at any hour was the biggest plus for me.

Can you print, copy and scan at a café near Sinnonhyeon Station?

Inside the café there's a self-service printer, and it handles printing, copying and scanning. It looked really useful if you suddenly need to prepare documents, or print homework or presentation materials.

How much does printing cost at Selecto Coffee?

Prices differ for A4, B4 and A3, so please check the photo for details. For A4, the most commonly used size, it goes like this:

• Black-and-white: copy/print ₩100, scan ₩300
• Color: copy/print/scan ₩300

Back when I was in school, black-and-white was ₩50, so it's gone up quite a bit with inflation, sigh. Color still looks like good value, though!

How to order and what's on the menu

At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon you can order coffee and food at the kiosk by the front door, or directly from a staff member. Of course, during the unmanned night hours you'd have to use the kiosk, right??

There was a wide variety of drinks, and the lineup was good value.

Mocha Blend iced americano, one of 5 bean choices

They had no fewer than 5 types of coffee beans, and I liked having that much choice. I'm not a fan of acidic flavors, so I picked the Mocha Blend and ordered an iced americano.

They also had a nice variety of bakery items, salads and sandwiches. Salad dressing is precious, so look at the options closely before you choose, haha.

There were 4 kinds of sandwiches. I chose the ricotta cheese sandwich for ₩7,500, and the really rich cheese flavor with fresh, zesty vegetables made it a great choice. I'll show you slowly below~

Which seats at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon are best for studying?

There were also solo spaces where you can sit comfortably alone and study, with a study-room feel.

You don't feel self-conscious sitting alone, the table is roomy, and every seat has an outlet, so it seems perfect for bringing a laptop and studying.

This is the open bar table. It seems like a nice spot when it's raining or when you want to watch the view outside. Every seat here has its own outlet too.

Partitioned group seats that feel like a study room

It was a space sectioned off by partitions, like a study room? It seems to be group seating, and people were gathered there studying together. The printer is right next to it, so it's a perfect place to gather and study like this.

This is an open area. Every seat has a soft, wide chair, so you can rest comfortably.

How was the ricotta cheese sandwich?

Here are the 2 iced americanos and the ricotta cheese sandwich I ordered.

It's packed full of ricotta cheese cream, and the thick, rich flavor was no joke.

Fresh vegetables too. The look of it is amazing, isn't it?

A free slice of cake for a photo review?

Wow, amazing~~~ At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, if you leave a Naver receipt photo review, they also give you a slice of cake.

I tried it just in case, and they gave me a cake the same size as the slices they sell regularly?? So touched~~~

The sweet chocolate and cream cheese flavors spread through my mouth and really made my mouth water~
