Quiet 24-hour laptop café in Sinnonhyeon: outlets & salmon, Selecto

I found a great café for studying and working near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam! If you're looking for a café in Gangnam's Sinnonhyeon area that stays open late, how about Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch, which is open 24 hours...!

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, and what are its hours and parking?

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is open Mon–Sun 00:00–24:00, every single day, 24 hours. It's also about a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station? Doable, which is super nice. Perfect for working at a café in Gangnam, right!?

If you're bringing a car, you'll need to use a nearby public car park, so keep that in mind! (No parking in front of the café, XX)

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon from outside on a weekday evening

I visited in the evening on a weekday after work~ Even though the sun had set, the sign was lit up and the café is fairly big, so it was easy to find.

When is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon unstaffed?

The café runs 24 hours, but some time slots are unmanned. The unmanned hours are Mon–Fri 22:00–08:00 and Sat–Sun 21:00–10:00, so please keep that in mind~~ They also sell salads and sandwiches, so it seemed like a good place to grab a quick meal while you work!

The outdoor terrace seating is spacious and has a nice vibe, and it seemed to fill up more as time went on! It looked like a lovely place to sit outside in the good weather of spring and autumn.

Is the seating at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon good for laptop work?

Inside there are comfy sofa chairs and tables, plus bar tables that are great when you come alone. And there are loads more seats that are even better for working.

Further inside, there were private-feeling seats for 1–2 people, just right for serious study sessions! I wanted to come alone and work here too,, but it was already full, which was a shame T_T

24-hour printing and a clean restroom

Another plus of Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is that you can print 24 hours a day~ I think it'd be super for university students to stop by, print, and study here.

A café restroom is something I personally care about,, and this one has a clean, well-kept restroom inside, so you don't have to worry even if you stay for hours!

Selecto Coffee menu: Americano with 5 beans to cleanse juices

When you order an Americano at Selecto Coffee, you can choose from 5 kinds of beans. Besides Americano and lattes, there are no fewer than 4 sweet signature lattes,, plus non-coffee drinks, ades, smoothies, teas, and even cleanse juices. Lots of drink options!

At this branch you can order directly from the staff, or order and pay at the kiosk, which is convenient~

Bakery: cookies, bagels, salt bread and slices of cake

And there was a whole load of bakery items too, which you absolutely have to try when you visit a café.. 4 kinds of cookies, bagel chips, a vegetable mix, and even gungbap-style hardtack biscuits (건빵), which aren't in the photo!

See how many kinds of bakery items there are: bagels, salt bread (소금빵, a salted butter roll), and slices of cake,, I seriously considered ordering a cake all for myself T_T

Selecto Coffee sandwiches and prices

There are 6 sandwiches at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, from the ₩4,500 ham and cheese to the ₩9,500 smoked salmon. I planned to have dinner here too, so the sandwich zone was the most important part~~~

• Egg mayo sandwich ₩5,000
• Ham and cheese sandwich ₩4,500

When I went, only the smoked salmon sandwich was well stocked and the others were mostly gone T_T There's a range, from hearty sandwiches that work as a full meal to lighter ones for a snack, so just pick what you like~ There are also salads, a smoked duck salad and a sous-vide chicken salad, and you can choose the dressing yourself.

How do the smoked salmon sandwich and Mocha Blend Americano taste?

What I ordered was the smoked salmon sandwich for ₩9,500 and an iced Americano for ₩3,800 with the Mocha Blend beans~!

Inside the smoked salmon sandwich there was salmon, of course, plus onion, lettuce and other fresh veggies, and there was more sauce than I expected, so it stayed soft and never dry to the very last bite! The bread was a bit chewy, and the sauce had soaked in to keep it moist, which I personally liked even more~!

I absolutely hate acidic coffee, so I ordered the Mocha Blend, the bean with the lowest acidity! It's known for chocolate notes and a heavy body, so it satisfied me, someone who loves a nutty, roasty Americano~! Fellow nutty-coffee fans, unite..

Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon good for long, quiet laptop sessions?

Even though it's a café in Gangnam, Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon was very quiet. I did this and that on my own at the bar table, and everyone had a study vibe, and with only calm music playing it seemed easier to concentrate~! (+ there's an outlet at every seat!!)

For people who love studying at cafés, there are sandwiches and salads to cover meals too, so I totally recommend Selecto Coffee, the late-night 24-hour café in Sinnonhyeon!
