What's the interior of Brivit like?

The inside of Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam is a muted olive green with red as an accent color, so photos come out looking young and warm 🫒

It had been a while since I'd had Western food, and the signature/best-seller menu names totally won me over, so I headed to the Hongdae pasta and steak spot "Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam."

Once you've picked your dishes, you ring a bell with a musical note on it. Ugh... everything sounded so good that I agonized over the order. I looked basically like a student deciding where to spend their application fees.

Brivit menu: what did I want to eat?

The Brivit menu has so many delicious-looking dishes, but our stomachs can only handle two, which is sad. What I wanted was the Brivit Steak / spring onion cream corn gnocchi (nyokki) / spicy jambon risotto / salmon steak pasta / truffle fries / butter highball / melon ball. This is probably why my diet failed ^ㅠ^

How does the Brivit Steak taste? Flat iron and red wine sauce

The Brivit Steak (₩37,900) comes with a French Aligot cheese waterfall, red wine sauce, sous vide flat iron steak and grilled vegetables. I hadn't planned on steak at all, but the words "flat iron" and the sight of a heap of cheese made me go, we're ordering this, no question! 🥩

After one bite, my companion said, "They grill meat well here." I agree: it was tender and cooked nicely, so kids and adults alike would love it. This one dish alone makes me want to come back 🙌🏻

Halfway through I started wondering if I was a veggie lover all along, because the grilled broccoli was so good!!! And the red sauce spread underneath is sweet and goes really well with the meat, so my whole-grain-mustard-loving companion dunked everything in just the red sauce ❤️🔥

While eating I had no idea what it was and guessed blueberry sauce~? But when I re-read the menu description while writing this post, it's red wine sauce! Apparently, I like red wine (?)

Salmon steak pasta: still good when it gets cold?

Brivit's salmon steak pasta is ₩19,900, and adding one extra piece of salmon steak costs ₩4,000. It's a tomato pasta with a clean, mildly spicy ragu sauce topped with salmon steak.

It's good even after cooling down while I took photos. It's a dish that isn't salty even when cold! And no, that doesn't mean it was bland before it cooled. I mean it's good hot or cold, like dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken)!!! I also assumed the salmon steak would be a boring flavor, but nope, it's seasoned, so every time I put it on the pasta it tasted even better. So I ate 2/3 of it myself haha

The sauce is also drizzled over the slightly bitter greens on top, which goes nicely with the tomato pasta 🍅🥬

Is two dishes enough for two people?

Two people ordering two dishes at Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam was not too little; we were just nicely full! One bite, two bites, and I'd basically washed the plates for them 🍽️ As signature and best-seller dishes, satisfaction was high, and many dishes aren't spicy, so it works for going with a child too. High chairs for toddlers are available.

Brivit: a Hongdae pasta spot that's good for dates

Good atmosphere, and food tasty enough that I want to come back, so I recommend "Brivit Hongdae Yeonnam" to anyone looking for a Hongdae pasta and steak spot for a blind date or date 🙌🏻
