Gyeongju craft beer pub for solo drinks and Eupseong IPA: Round Two

I think I've been to Gyeongju 20 or 30 times since last year, and I'm still finding places I've never heard of. Gyeongju Eupseong (the old town fortress)! After all those visits, I'd never once been! So I went to look around the fortress, and the beer pub I stopped at that evening had great beer and a great view, so I'm introducing it to you~! Let's go to Round Two together.

Round Two in Gyeongju: location, hours and parking

Round Two (라운드투) is a beer pub right in front of Gyeongju Eupseong, on the 1st floor of 112 Bukseong-ro, Gyeongju. It's open 18:00–02:00 and closed every Thursday. Roadside parking is available and corkage is free.

I came to Round Two for a beer after looking around Gyeongju Eupseong! There's a public parking lot in front too, so no parking worries~ It's a one-minute walk from the fortress ^^

Round Two's atmosphere: good for a solo drink or a date?

Round Two is a pub with bar seats and a hall, and the mood suited both a solo drink and a date. Wow, what an atmosphere! A bar seat was open, so I sat right down~ It felt great for a date, and it also looked like a good place to drink alone 😁😁

There's a dart machine too. And a warning not to throw like a baseball player!! haha

The hall has a projector, so it's a nice spot for a beer while watching sports!

Round Two's highlight: the Gyeongju Eupseong view at sunset

The highlight of Round Two, a great Gyeongju Eupseong spot for solo drinks and dates, is the fortress view! Sipping a beer while watching the sunset sky, I was so happy I couldn't ask for anything more from the day.

It's even more beautiful at night! I recommend coming at sunset and staying for the lovelier night view too 😍😍

First round: Round Two Bomb and Handsome Lager

My first glasses were the Round Two Bomb and the Handsome Lager. The Round Two Bomb is the Handsome Lager with a lemon drip shot added~ The Handsome Lager is clean-tasting, and what stood out in the Bomb was the refreshing, slightly bitter lemon drip shot that follows the clean lager. The fizz was a bit weak, though, so it wasn't the lager taste I was expecting.

A garlic beef cheeseburger that beat expectations

I ordered the burger without expecting much, and it was so good I was really satisfied! The burger quality at Round Two is great 👍

Thick, gooey cheese spilling over a juicy, moist patty! Better than most burger joints 😋😋

Second round: Gyeongju Eupseong IPA and Round Two Dark

I cleared the first round in one gulp, then ordered the Round Two Dark and the Gyeongju Eupseong IPA. The Gyeongju Eupseong IPA has a wonderful aroma and a dense flavor, so I hope you'll order a glass.

I like Kozel, so I ordered the Round Two Dark, a stout with peanut butter. It goes down really smoothly, and the nutty peanut flavor at the end pairs so well with it.

Is Round Two worth visiting for a solo drink or date in Gyeongju Eupseong?

When I'm at a bar or beer pub, sometimes I think the music selection is great, like when songs I don't even know stick in my ears and I find the rhythm~ Round Two was like that. The music was so good. Good songs, a gorgeous fortress view, tasty craft beer and a burger, I had a really happy evening ^^

With its view of Gyeongju Eupseong, friendly owner, tasty beer and burgers, and good music, I'd recommend Round Two to anyone looking for a Gyeongju date spot or a bar or pub for drinking alone ^^ If you visit the fortress area, do stop by. You won't regret it.
