Why we picked Boksakkot for our Incheon lunch date
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is a charcoal jjukkumi (spicy stir-fried octopus) and pork rib set restaurant in Namdong-gu, Incheon. My girlfriend and I were on a date in Incheon trying to figure out lunch, and this is where we ended up!

This time we visited Boksakkot in Namdong-gu, Incheon ☺️

Is there parking at Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch?
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch has parking, which was convenient since we drove. Parking really matters when you're bringing a car! On a date, a good restaurant is great, but stressing over parking is annoying haha. Here we didn't have to worry about that at all.
Store size and seating
The store was bigger than I expected. As soon as we walked in, I was surprised by how spacious it was.

The building itself is on the larger side and the seating has plenty of space, so it seemed good for family meals or bigger group gatherings too.

Now that I'm in my 30s, I put out my supplements the second I sit down 😂

What do Boksakkot's set menus look like?
Boksakkot has quite a variety of menu items — charcoal jjukkumi stir-fry, pork ribs, hot pot, octopus stir-fry — so it seemed like a great place for two people to pick and try a few things. What stood out was that it's not just a jjukkumi place; ordering the set menu brings a whole spread of side dishes along with it, which made it feel very date-friendly haha.
These are the two things we ordered that day.
- Charcoal-Grilled Jjukkumi Stir-Fry Set
- Sweet BBQ Pork Rib Set

After sitting down and waiting a bit, the set items started coming out one by one, and the table ended up looking pretty lavish. What makes Boksakkot special is that you don't just get the main dish like jjukkumi or ribs — the set lets you enjoy side dishes, salad, rice balls, mukbap, wood-fired pizza, and more, all together.

What's included for free
What I loved about Boksakkot was that the seaweed soup, the self-bar, and the soda were all free hahahaha.

How's the charcoal-grilled jjukkumi stir-fry?
The moment it came out, the charcoal jjukkumi had that smoky, spicy flavor. This was the dish I'd been most looking forward to, and true to its name, being grilled over direct flame gave it a very clear smoky aroma.
The octopus itself had a nice springy texture, which paired well with rice, and with the smoky char layered over the spicy sauce, my chopsticks kept going back for more haha. If the jjukkumi were too plain, it'd fall a bit flat with rice, but here the fire-flavor really comes through, making it even better eaten with rice.
Spicy jjukkumi → savory, sweet pizza → back to jjukkumi — I kept cycling through this combo hahaha.
Who would enjoy the Sweet BBQ Pork Rib Set?
Boksakkot's sweet BBQ pork ribs are centered on a sweet barbecue sauce, making them an easy, low-pressure dish even for people who can't handle spicy food. If the jjukkumi is spicy and heavy on smoky flavor, the ribs are the complete opposite.
If we'd only ordered the jjukkumi for the two of us, the flavors would have leaned one direction the whole meal, but ordering the ribs too let us switch between spicy and sweet, which was great. Eating a bit of jjukkumi, then a rib, then back to jjukkumi kept things from getting monotonous.
That said, I'd seen reviews noting the ribs lean toward the sweet BBQ side, and personally I think if you love spicy jjukkumi, you'll probably prefer that dish more. On the flip side, if you like sweet barbecue sauce or pork ribs, the Sweet BBQ Pork Rib set is absolutely worth choosing.
Mukbap as a palate cleanser
The mukbap (acorn jelly in cold broth) that came with the set cleansed the palate between bites of spicy jjukkumi. We kept dipping into it here and there, and having something cool and refreshing like that alongside spicy food was really nice.

Dessert coffee and the outdoor terrace
Boksakkot also sells ice cream, so kids would absolutely love it!!

Once we finished eating, we got to enjoy dessert coffee too, so there was no need to rush off to another café afterward — a relaxed way to wrap things up. Getting the meal and coffee sorted in one place made it a pretty solid date course haha.

The outdoor terrace was really lovely too hahahaha 👍
Verdict: the charcoal jjukkumi + rib set combo
The combo we tried that day — Charcoal-Grilled Jjukkumi Stir-Fry Set + Sweet BBQ Pork Rib Set — was quite satisfying. The jjukkumi had that distinctive charcoal-grilled smoky, spicy style that went great with rice, while the ribs brought a sweet barbecue sauce that was clearly different — ordering both dishes together turned out to be the right call.
With wood-fired pizza, salad, and mukbap also on the table, there was enough variety that the two of us never got bored during the meal haha. Above all, the easy parking and spacious store make it good for family meals or gatherings too, and it felt like a low-pressure place to eat on a date with my girlfriend.
If you're in Namdong-gu, Incheon looking for a place with properly smoky charcoal jjukkumi alongside sweet pork ribs, Boksakkot is worth a visit :) Next time I go, I'd like to try some of the other menu items too haha.
