Where is LOOOP Bakery in Seongsu?

LOOOP Bakery sits on Yeonmujang-gil, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Seongsu Station on Seoul Subway Line 2. The building looks like a gift box, so it really stands out, and that made it much easier to find than I expected.

I've been hanging out in Seongsu a lot lately. It's close to where I live and easy to stop by after work, so I've been working my way through the tasty places and pretty cafés. This time I visited LOOOP, a Seongsu bakery café whose exterior is already so pretty it catches your eye. It was literally a gift box…!

What is the 1st floor of LOOOP Bakery like?

The 1st floor has a clean, neutral white-and-gray interior. The space is big, with lots of tables, and it felt very comfortable. I was amazed to hear there's even a self-studio inside the café. There are several facilities, so just read the notes you're given when you enter and you'll be fine.

The interior was hip and pretty at the same time. The place is large, so there are plenty of tables and it feels really airy!

In the center of the 1st floor there's a big round counter. They have a huge variety of beans, so you can tell LOOOP takes coffee seriously.

How late is LOOOP Bakery open?

LOOOP also sells wine, so it's open until 2 a.m.! Even if you use it purely as a café, you can relax there until late, which I really liked. Besides coffee there's a wide range of drinks, so it's a great café to settle into for a long time.

How LOOOP Bakery displays and packs its bread

LOOOP's breads and desserts sit out on trays until the evening, and later at night they're individually wrapped in plastic so they're easy to take away. Out of all the pastries and desserts, I decided to eat the cutest one: a little bear.

There was a variety of cakes too, plus cute T-shirts on display. The LOOOP character is seriously adorable!

How to use each floor of LOOOP Bakery

LOOOP has four floors. The 4th floor is a photo spot, and floors 2 and 3 close at 9 p.m. So if you want to hang out late and relax, grabbing a seat on the 1st floor is easiest!

There are cameras set up from the entrance and all around the store, plus full-length mirrors, so it was fun to play around taking photos.

The 2nd floor is the coziest space, great for slowing down. It was quiet rather than noisy, which I liked. Maybe that's just because it was almost closing time and nobody was there...!

How do you use LOOOP Bakery's free 3rd-floor self-studio?

Climb the stairs to the 3rd floor and you'll find a free self-studio in the inner room. Free shooting? What a kind café!!

The studio is set up so seriously that I was surprised, and since I was already there I couldn't not shoot, so I happily played around taking photos from every angle. If you agree to an Instagram upload and go through a simple process, you can also get the original photos.

What I ordered that day at LOOOP: an Americano for ₩6,000, a matcha latte for ₩8,800 and a blueberry New York bear roll for ₩8,000. After a quick café tour around the place, my drinks and bakery were already ready!

A cute blueberry bear roll…! I was torn between it and the matcha bear roll, but since my drink was already matcha.. I went with blueberry.

A rich, tasty matcha latte and an iced Americano that looks even richer…! The Americano had an "extra ice" option, so I picked it, and they gave me a separate cup filled with ice.

I split the bear's head open to eat the blueberry New York bear roll, and it was packed with blueberry chocolate and blueberry jam. So good.

When to visit LOOOP Bakery in Seongsu

With friendly staff and a roomy, comfortable space, LOOOP Bakery is a good bakery café to stop by in Seongsu when you have time to spare or want tasty desserts and bread.
