Gluttony Coffee (글러트니커피, GLUTTONY) is a café on Gunam-ro 2-gil in Jeju City, only about 10 minutes by car from Jeju International Airport. The first stop of this Jeju trip was a café. As soon as I arrived at the airport and picked up my rental car, I headed straight to Gluttony, famous as a café near Jeju Airport.

About 10 minutes from the airport, it's a great spot to visit at the start of a trip or as a last stop before leaving. I love hunting down pretty cafés when I travel, so I had already saved this one. I'd seen lots of reviews saying the cakes are really good, and once I got there I understood right away why it's so popular.

The exterior was full of charm, and the inside was clean with a warm mood. It matched the excitement of starting a trip perfectly. The tables are spaced widely, so it's easy to relax over dessert, and there are plenty of pretty spots for photos.

My junior colleague and I ordered a sweet corn cake, a whole apple mango cream cake, and two iced Gluttony lattes, the signature drink.

The biggest charm of the Gluttony sweet corn cake (₩8,000) is the crunchy sweet corn packed inside. The sweet corn cake I'd been looking forward to first~! 👏👏👏 One bite and I couldn't help but gasp.

Wow... now I get why this is so famous.

Those words just slipped out. The soft whipped cream and moist sponge were delicious, but the most surprising part was the corn. It doesn't just smell of corn: the cake is loaded with crunchy sweet corn kernels, so the texture is really great.

I never expected sweet cream and nutty corn to go together this well. One bite and then another, it's a seriously addictive cake. 🥳🎵💕🎶🩵 My junior and I looked at each other and kept repeating, "This is so good." It felt like a total success for our first dessert of the Jeju trip.

How was the whole apple mango cream cake?

The whole apple mango cream cake (₩9,000) at Gluttony Coffee was better than I expected too, generously topped with ripe apple mango. 👏👏👏

The apple mango was really juicy. The whipped cream wasn't greasy at all; it was soft and light, which brought out the mango's sweetness even more. The fruit was fresh and the sponge was moist, so our plate was empty in no time. No wonder it's famous as a Jeju café dessert.

Is the signature Gluttony latte sweet?

The signature Gluttony latte (iced, 2 cups ₩11,000) isn't very sweet, which I liked even more. We couldn't skip the coffee, after all.

It had a rich, nutty flavor and a clean finish. The strong coffee aroma and soft milk blended nicely, making it a perfect match for the cake. Drinking it with sweet desserts, the balance was really good.

When traveling, desserts are sometimes so sweet that a sweet coffee on top feels like too much, but thanks to its moderate sweetness and nuttiness, I could enjoy the Gluttony latte to the last sip.

Verdict: will I go back to Gluttony Coffee near Jeju Airport?

This Jeju City café isn't just a pretty place; the quality of the desserts themselves is really high. The sweet corn cake especially is something I'd definitely revisit and eat again when I come back to Jeju. I still keep thinking about that crunchy sweet corn texture~🥰👍🎵
