How do you get to the hair salon from Suraksan Station?

I visited Moment Hair Suraksan Station Branch (모먼트헤어 수락산역점) to brighten my hair color and tidy up the length after a long time. I booked for 6 PM on a weekday and went after work.

It was directly in front of Exit 3 of Suraksan Station on Line 7, so it was easy to find. It was also convenient to get there by subway.

The salon is on the second floor of the building. I spotted it quickly after going up the stairs, and the directions from the entrance meant I did not get lost.

What was the salon like on a weekday evening?

The salon is not very large, but it felt like it had what was needed. It was not busy when I visited at 6 PM on a weekday. There were two stylists, and I received my service from the head director.

How did I choose the ash brown I wanted without bleaching?

Because I wanted a lighter color than before, I looked up images of the color I wanted in advance. I showed saved photos of non-bleach coloring examples while discussing the cut and color.

During the consultation, I was told that level 8 to 9 would probably work. They explained that the deep ash brown I showed would require lightening the color first, then toning it back down darker. Since I wanted to proceed without bleaching, I chose a color similar to matte ash brown.

What were the cut and coloring process like?

Before the service, my hair reached my shoulders, and it felt frizzy with an awkward length. I decided to cut about 5 cm.

They cut my hair first, then applied the dye. They cut it to the length I wanted and thinned it out appropriately. I did not photograph them, but I was also given Lotus biscuits and a drink. I had peach iced tea.

My scalp stung slightly after the dye was applied. It was tolerable for me, but I was uncomfortable during the service. I waited around 40 to 50 minutes with the dye on, then had my hair washed and received scalp care at the same time. The scalp care felt cooling.

How did the finished hair color look in sunlight?

I liked the finished cut and color. However, it was already nighttime when the service ended, so there was no sunlight and the color looked a little dark in the photos.

In sunlight, it looked lighter than in the photos taken at night. I liked that it was moderately bright and had less red in it.
