Lunch café, Songdo outlet: kaimak to go & cookie-crumb mix, Wunder

Songdo Hyundai Outlet! I went to a café at "Songhyeon-a" (the outlet's nickname in Korean)~ I don't know who started calling it that, but it really sticks. It's a great place to shop in Songdo! Whenever I go shopping I end up stopping at a café. Number of times I found nothing I liked, bought no clothes and only had coffee: n,,, hahaha. Today's stop is Wunder Coffee Bar~

Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo: hours, parking and pets

Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00, and pets are allowed. For parking, just use the free parking at Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo.

Wunder started in Yeokgok, and it seems there are two branches, Songdo and Yeokgok.

How to find Wunder Coffee Bar in Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo

Wunder is inside the food square on B1 of the outlet. The shops down there all look alike, so it can be a little hard to spot, but it's further in past Gong Cha!

This is what it looks like~ If you spot the "W" shape, you've made it. With a name like "bundeo" I thought it would start with a B..? But it's Wunder, haha.

Red seems to be the signature color~ The logo and the cups were all burgundy. Menu photos are stuck up all over, so even if you just walk past you can tell they sell ice cream and kaimak (Turkish clotted cream)!! Haha.

Wunder Coffee Bar menu: cream latte, ice cream and kaimak

Wunder's signature menu items are the cream latte and the ice cream latte, I heard~ The Wunder Coffee is the cream latte~ You can also add a choco shell to the ice cream! A choco shell add-on, that's a total gem. The ice cream comes in hojicha (roasted green tea), vanilla, and hojicha-vanilla mix.

Decaf, oat milk and lactose-free milk swaps are all possible, so keep that in mind~ Non-coffee options were tangerine-grapefruit juice, tangerine-grapefruit ade and cream matcha. The tangerine-grapefruit drinks seem to be the signature flavor!

For dessert there's kaimak! I used to hunt it down and eat it when it was trending 🥹 so it's nice to see it again~ They also sell coffee beans! There are two kinds, blend and decaf. If you try the coffee and like it, you could take some beans home.

An unusual coffee set menu

What stood out is that Wunder has coffee set menus!! There are plenty of drink + dessert sets, but coffee sets are rare, right~ If two people come, it looks like you can eat a bit more cheaply.

Einspänner and ube drinks not listed on Naver Place

The Songdo shop had more menu items that aren't listed on Naver Place (Korea's map app). There were more varieties of einspänner (coffee topped with cream) and cream drinks. The einspänners were the basic Wunder Coffee, matcha einspänner, ube einspänner and mocha einspänner, and besides cream matcha the cream drinks included cream ube and cream chocolate. Ube is trending these days! They must have jumped on the trend quickly and launched ube items.

Weekday lunch order: Americano + kaimak set and mix ice cream

At Wunder we ordered an Americano + kaimak set, an Americano, and an ice cream (hojicha + vanilla mix)~ After ordering, we ate at the shared seating in the food square. The shop has no seats of its own; the shops in the food square share the space, so we got everything as takeout. They said the kaimak would take a while, so we got the rest first.

How does the cookie-crumb hojicha-vanilla mix ice cream taste?

They asked if I wanted cookie crumbs sprinkled on the ice cream and I said yes!! Totally satisfied! Sweet and cold + crunchy crunchy went so well together. The hojicha flavor is subtle, but it's clearly different from the vanilla. Hojicha ice cream isn't common, so give it a try if you go!!

How big are Wunder Coffee Bar's coffee and ice cream portions?

Both the coffee and the ice cream at Wunder were a decent size! The coffee isn't as big as at a budget chain, but it was larger than a typical café, and the ice cream was about as tall as the coffee.

How is the kaimak packed for takeout?

They said the kaimak would take a while, so we decided to take it to go~ The kaimak and honey came in a big container so nothing would spill even if it wobbled. The bread was warmed up and piping hot~

The bread is white ciabatta. You can add extra bread for ₩3,900, so if you're sharing among several people, adding just more bread seems like a good idea.

Who should visit Wunder Coffee Bar at the Songdo outlet?
