Jamsil beauty mark tattoo studio: brown cheek moles, Mood Moon Brow

I've been in a "face slump" lately (얼태기, that bored-with-my-own-face feeling), so I wondered what to try and decided to finally get the face moles I've always loved! Since it's semi-permanent, I chose carefully and ended up at Mood Moon Brow (무드문브로우) in Jamsil. Let me tell you how two beauty marks got me out of my slump :)

Where is Mood Moon Brow, and what are the hours?

Mood Moon Brow is at 67 Baekjegobun-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Winnersville Building 2, Room 606, and it's open Monday to Saturday, 10:00–20:00. It's closed every Sunday, there's no parking, and reservations are available.

It's a semi-permanent makeup studio a 5-minute walk from Sports Complex Station, Exit 9. It's on the 6th floor of the Napoleon building, so it's easy to find!

What's the inside of Mood Moon Brow like?

When you walk in, you first change into indoor slippers, and the owner greeted me so kindly, which I loved *_*

There's a restroom inside too, so it's easy to use. The cozy, comfy mood was totally my taste,, and the place smells so good, I love it haha.

You can put your bag on this table! There are sweet snacks too, perfect for a sugar recharge.

I came for beauty marks today, but the owner's specialty (?) is brow tattoos and lip tattoos! There are lots of pretty colors, so I'll definitely try those next time,,

The bed is so soft and plush that sleep comes right over you. It was my first mole tattoo, so I was a little nervous before visiting, but the space was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep during the treatment ^.^

How do you decide where the beauty marks go?

At Mood Moon Brow, you fill out a simple consent form before the treatment, tell the owner where you want the moles, and you're ready! Before tattooing, they dot the spots on as a test first and then decide.

I've always liked cheek moles, and I recently fell for cheekbone moles, so I decided on two haha. Before tattooing I tested the placement, and since I already have a mole beside my eye, the three dots formed a triangle?! I couldn't tell if that was fine.. or weird.. but after discussing (?) it with the owner, we just decided to go for it ^.^ Somehow the owner got brainwashed by me, hahaha.

Does a mole tattoo hurt? How long does it take?

For the beauty mark treatment at Mood Moon Brow, numbing cream was applied where I wanted the moles, and I waited about 10 minutes before starting. I was worried it would hurt, but it didn't hurt at all, so much that I wondered why I'd worried?! Thanks to the owner's careful touch, there was zero pain and it was done quickly in 10 minutes.

They aren't round, black, pen-drawn dots; they're soft, fluffy brown moles, so they look so natural. Even right after the tattoo they look incredibly natural,, (so touched)

The cheek mole also landed exactly where I wanted, so I'm happy haha. After peeling, the moles will shrink a little and fade in color, so they should look even more natural~ My face usually has a lot of blank space, and with the moles it feels filled in, like my face slump is beaten right away ^.^

What about aftercare and touch-ups?

When everything was done, Mood Moon Brow carefully went through the things to watch out for and even gave me aftercare cream. It's best to read the instructions thoroughly and follow them, so please do!

• A light face wash is fine on the same day
• Careful care during the peeling period is a must
• Once the color has faded after peeling, you can book a touch-up
