Nintendo café in Jamsil: Street Fighter and butter squid, One Play

With the weather getting hotter, I went to One Play Jamsil Branch, a Nintendo Switch café in Jamsil that's perfect for an indoor date. It has not just Nintendo but board games, manga and OTT too, so here's my review of the fun time I had : )

Where is One Play Jamsil Branch, and what about parking?

One Play Jamsil Branch uses the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building at 20 Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and is open daily from 10:00 to 24:00. Group visits are said to be possible too.

It's a 7-minute walk from Jamsil Saenae Station Exit 4 and an 8-minute walk from Sports Complex Station Exit 9, a great indoor date spot in Jamsil. There's no dedicated parking, so use the nearby Asia Park parking lot.

Go up to the 2nd floor and change your shoes first, then head to the 3rd floor and pay for your plan.

What are the pricing plans at One Play Jamsil Branch?

One Play Jamsil Branch has a weekday ₩10,000 unlimited plan, plus package plans that combine time with a drink. I picked the 2-hour + drink "Shower" package.

These days even one drink at a café is pricey, but at One Play you get a drink plus board games, manga, Nintendo and more, so it's a total bargain of a multi-culture space >.<

How do you borrow a Nintendo Switch?

At One Play Jamsil Branch you borrow a Nintendo Switch by leaving your ID. Check the usage guide too~ I wanted to play the Switch, so I handed over my ID and borrowed one ㅎ_ㅎ

You can also pick a game cartridge along with the Switch, so choose whatever you like! I went with Mario Kart ^.^

What's the 3rd-floor manga space like?

The 3rd floor of One Play Jamsil Branch has manga to read and a comfy place to relax. Even the warm lighting puts your mind at ease,,♡

There's a manga-café-level variety of comics, so it hits the spot for manga fans. It's been a while since I read manga and it was so much fun haha

What can you do in the 2nd-floor rooms?

The 2nd floor of One Play Jamsil Branch has rooms for board games, Nintendo and OTT. I went down a floor, ready to really play. Each room has set OTT services, like Netflix or Disney+. The space is so cozy it feels like having a secret hideout lol

There are arcade machines too!! Wow. This is free as well, so I'm just happy ㅠㅠ You can play nostalgic games like Street Fighter and Metal Slug haha Street Fighter was especially fun,,

How to connect the Nintendo Switch in a room at One Play Jamsil Branch

Today's goal: the Nintendo Switch!! Here's how to play.

• Take off the controllers (Joy-Cons) on both sides first.
• Slot the Switch console into the machine next to the TV.
• Use the Joy-Cons you removed to start the game.

Mario Kart is a game I recommend because it's fun for two haha Come on, come on~ Playing as a pair got so competitive we almost fought (?) ^^

How do you order food at One Play Jamsil Branch?

At One Play Jamsil Branch, tap your phone on the NFC device you're given at the start and an order window pops up. I got hungry from playing so hard on the Switch, so I ordered a snack.

The menu is huge lol, from simple snacks to proper meals, pretty much everything. Betting a meal on a game would be fun ^.^

I ordered butter squid (buttery grilled dried squid), the kind of snack that makes you want to put on a movie right away! It's an easy snack to eat while watching Netflix, and I enjoyed it haha

Is the 2-hour package enough?

Between reading manga, playing the Switch and watching OTT at One Play Jamsil Branch, the 2 hours flew by?! Next time I'll try the weekday ₩10,000 unlimited plan haha I had that much fun!! Highly recommend!!
