Gyeongju bakery pie gift set: Gyeongju Tokyo Pie
In short
Gyeongju Tokyo Pie is a handmade pie shop on Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk. I packed a six-piece, three-flavor gift set and liked the crisp pastry, crunchy apple, smooth red bean filling, and neat box, though I had to walk from a public parking lot.

While traveling in Gyeongju, I stopped by Gyeongju Tokyo Pie (경주도쿄파이) after looking for pies to take as a snack and gift from Hwangridan-gil. It is a handmade pie shop run directly by a Japanese owner. I packed a six-piece gift set of three varieties to eat at home and check out the gift packaging.
Where is Gyeongju Tokyo Pie, and what was parking like?
The shop is at Unit 106, 1st floor, 38 Poseok-ro 1095beon-gil on Gyeongju’s Hwangridan-gil. Its exterior was neat, with a tile-roof feel. The hours listed in the original post are 11:30–19:00 on weekdays and 11:30–20:00 on weekends, with regular closure every Tuesday.

Parking was a little inconvenient. There was no space to park in front of the shop, and when I tried to use the nearby Seorabeol Cultural Center parking lot, it was difficult to find a spot on both weekdays and weekends. I parked at the Jjoksaem District Temporary Public Parking Lot and walked a little. It was large, and the fee felt inexpensive.
What did I choose for snacks and gifts?

I ordered the premium gift set of three varieties, which contained six pies. I chose the set because I also wanted to see the gift packaging. Individual pies were available too, so they seemed suitable as a snack while looking around Hwangridan-gil.

What time do the pies come out?
The pie-baking times listed in the original post are twice daily: 11:30 and 14:30. Each batch ended when the ingredients ran out. I arrived around a baking time, and pies were set out on the display counter.
The shop said it uses whole domestically grown Busa apples, and apples were displayed on the counter. Japanese notices and Japanese music playing in the shop made the atmosphere memorable.

At the time of my visit, I received an Americano for taking part in a Naver receipt-review event. The coffee had a nutty flavor.

While I waited, freshly baked pies came out. Up close, the scent of baked pie was even more distinct.

How were the gift-set packaging and texture at home?
When I asked for packaging to take the pies home, they carefully placed them in a box.

When I opened the box at home, I liked its clean packaging design. With six compartments, it felt like a suitable size to give family or acquaintances as a travel gift.

Even after freezing them and warming them in an air fryer, the pies regained their crisp texture.

The pies I packed and brought home still had their crispness.

What did the apple and red bean pies taste like?
The apple pie was baked crisp all the way to the bottom. When I opened it up, the apple aroma was strong.

When I cut it in half, the pastry’s layers were clearly visible, with large pieces of Busa apple inside. I could taste the apple’s crunchy texture and juice as I bit into it. The sweet, tart apple worked with the pastry, so I did not get tired of eating it.

The red bean filling pie was filled with smooth sweet red bean paste. The nutty, sweet filling went well with the crisp pastry, and it was not overly sweet to me. I thought it would make a nice gift for my parents.
For this takeaway order, I was satisfied with the crisp pastry and the contrasting textures of apple and red bean filling. I also liked the clean box for gifting. However, visiting by car meant the extra effort of walking because parking was not available in front of the shop.
