Summer rattan tote with roomy storage: Meda Bag Rattan Bag

What was my first impression of the Meda Bag Rattan Bag?

I usually prefer leather bags over large bags, but I found myself reaching often for the Meda Bag Rattan Bag I used this time because it went so naturally with everyday summer outfits. I loved the cool-looking feel that comes with rattan weaving.

This is the rattan bag available on the Meda Bag website. It felt reasonably priced, but I did not record the exact purchase price in the original post.

The bag arrived in a dust bag. When I opened it, the natural weave immediately caught my eye, and even when carried casually, it felt like a nice accent for a summer outfit.

Is the front pocket handy for taking out frequently used items?

There is a separate pocket on the front, which was great for dividing up small belongings. I carried frequently used cosmetics in it, and it was convenient to take them out without rummaging through the bag.

The pocket opens and closes with a magnet. I could open and close it easily with one hand.

When I received it, a teddy-bear keychain came along as a free gift too. I used the little bear carrying its own bag as an accent on the rattan bag.

Does the bottom sag when you pack it full?

The bag has a generous width, so it was great for carrying belongings like a wallet, pouch, and phone. I thought it was a useful size for people who normally carry a lot.

The base was generously wide too. When I put heavy items in it during use, the bottom did not sag, so it looked stable.

Does it suit casual clothes like a T-shirt?

It has a design that pairs soft rattan weaving with a brown strap. Since it is roomy, I thought it could also be useful for carrying the things needed when going out with a child.

It went naturally even with a basic T-shirt and black pants. The rattan weave added a summery mood to a simple outfit.

Adding the teddy-bear keychain made the bag feel even cuter.

Its curved shape kept it from looking bulky despite its roomy size. The front pocket and strap became nice details, so I felt it would also go well with the comfortable clothes I wear for school drop-offs and quick trips near home.

Was it comfortable on the shoulder?

You can lengthen the strap to use it as a crossbody bag or shorten it for a shoulder bag. I prefer the shoulder style, so I adjusted the strap shorter and carried it on my shoulder.

The strap was not too narrow and had a good width, so it felt comfortable on my shoulder. Even when I packed in plenty of belongings, it did not press hard into my shoulder, making it nice to carry for a long time.

What did I like most after carrying it every day?

At the time I was using it, I reached for it often enough to carry it every day. Even though I do not usually prefer large bags, I liked its roomy storage and comfortable fit.

There was still room after I put in the wallet, pouch, phone, medicine case, water bottle, and documents I normally carry. With that extra space inside, it was also easy to reach in and take things out.

It worked without any fuss even on a day when I went out in just a white T-shirt and shorts. For me, it was a bag that could hold plenty of everyday belongings while complementing summer outfits.
