Ulsan shabu-shabu buffet with yukhoe, mango and passion fruit: Wabom

Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch is a place I want to go back to! I can recommend it with confidence, a restaurant with no downsides.

This time I visited Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch with Namjipsa (my husband). I love shabu-shabu and have tried plenty of places, but this visit left me really satisfied! What are the parking and seating like at Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch?

Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch has its own parking lot, so coming by car was easy, and even though we visited at weekend lunchtime, there was no hassle! I don't go to Mugeo-dong often, but because of Wabom I want to go more often! Haha

The restaurant is also bigger than I expected, and I saw lots of families and group gatherings! There are plenty of window seats too, so we could eat without feeling cramped!

Why I chose Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch

I was looking for somewhere to eat out in Ulsan and picked Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch because of the good reviews! I like shabu-shabu, but I also prefer places with lots of kinds of food! (I like eating a little bit of everything)

At Wabom you can enjoy not just shabu-shabu but also sushi, yukhoe, desserts and fruit~ I think it would be a good pick for anyone looking for an Ulsan spot for a family gathering! The seating is spacious and the place is pleasant, so it's great for visiting with a group~

Half-and-half broth, and rice paper at the vegetable station

At Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch I chose half mild, half spicy broth! One side is clean and light, the other is kick-in-the-throat spicy, and I was personally really happy with that!

The vegetable station had lots of variety too! Bean sprouts, napa cabbage, bok choy, mushrooms and the rest of what you need for shabu-shabu were well stocked and in good condition! There was also rice paper, so I wrapped meat and vegetables in it to eat~ (Some shabu-shabu places don't have rice paper!? It came out right away here!)

How were the self-bar sushi, tempura and yukhoe?

The shabu-shabu itself was satisfying at Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch, but what really surprised me was the self-bar! There were many kinds of sushi, there was tempura, and there was yukhoe, which I love~

Of course it's not at the level of a specialist yukhoe restaurant, but for yukhoe at a buffet the quality was pretty good! I ended up going back for it several times...!!!

Dessert corner and chocolate fondue

The dessert corner at Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch was satisfying too! There was jelly, cake, ice cream and chocolate fondue, so even though I was full after the meal, there was still plenty to enjoy!

Sliced frozen mango and passion fruit, the most memorable fruit

What impressed me most at Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch was the mango! At buffets it's usually frozen in cubes, or not offered at all, but Wabom had frozen mango in slices!!! Even though it was frozen, the texture was good, and for a fruit lover like me it was a seriously generous lineup!~ T_T

There was passion fruit too, which was great for cleansing the palate! Tip: grab the frozen fruit early, so it's thawed by the time you eat it as dessert~

Partway through the meal I started to get full, but I kept seeing things I wanted to eat! I slowed down around the middle, but Namjipsa ran all the way to the end! If you're an adult man, you'll be happy here!

Sushi, yukhoe, dessert! And fruit too, and the time just flew by! The window-side view is nice and the interior is spacious, so we could relax through the whole meal without feeling cramped!

Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch is one of the most satisfying shabu-shabu buffets I've been to! It's not only the shabu-shabu that's good: the whole lineup, from sushi and yukhoe to desserts and fruit, is strong, so you enjoy it right to the end!

Fruit lovers will be as moved by the mango and passion fruit as I was! With spacious seating and easy parking, it also looked fine for anyone searching for an Ulsan spot for a family gathering or family meal!

I've already saved it as a place to revisit! Mugeo-dong is far for me, but when I want shabu-shabu, this is where I'll go without hesitation: Wabom Ulsan Mugeo Branch!
