Gimhae café for real strawberry latte and coconut kaya croissant

A Gimhae café I stopped by on the way back from Miryang. I'd had naengmyeon (cold noodles) for lunch at the place across the street and finally made it to Yu Yu Yu, which I'd wanted to visit for a while.

Where is Yu Yu Yu in Gimhae, and where do you park?

Yu Yu Yu is located at 450 Inje-ro in Gimhae, on the road up to Gaya CC, and there's a private parking lot right in front, so it's an easy visit.

They're currently doing expansion construction, and it's supposed to open mid-August, so it'll be even more spacious to enjoy after that.

Business hours are: Mon–Fri 08:30–22:00 Sat, Sun 10:00–22:00

What bakery items does Yu Yu Yu have?

Walk into this Gimhae café and there's a wide variety of baked goods.

Scones, salt bread, financiers, crookies, croissants and more — a real bakery spot in Gimhae. I was already full but wanted to try everything. Check out the video for a look at all the bread!

Next to it there's also egg tart, and the little figures displayed there are so cute, ㅠㅠ

There's Basque cheesecake too. So many good-looking bakery items — I was full from lunch but still wanted to eat everything.

Here's the drink menu at Yu Yu Yu. I ordered the matcha choux cream latte and the real strawberry latte. I'd had coffee that morning so I went for non-coffee drinks that day — the U-Latte looked good too, and the summer specialty patbingsu (red bean shaved ice) looked delicious as well.

While picking drinks and bakery items, I kept getting distracted by all the Shin-chan dolls around the café. The lime-and-grapefruit Shin-chan was especially cute?

There are even more at the counter. Maeng-gu is so cute too... having all these Shin-chan dolls made the café feel friendlier and more charming.

Yu Yu Yu is a fairly large café by Gimhae standards. The interior feels calm overall, so it's a good place to relax with a coffee. It was a bit quiet on the weekday I visited, but since it's a well-known spot, I'd guess it gets busy on weekends.

The 1st floor is dog-friendly, so it's a great Gimhae café to visit with your dog. It felt more like a spot for a comfortable chat or a quiet rest than a lively, buzzing café.

There's also a terrace, so you can enjoy your coffee outdoors. I'd had naengmyeon at a place with the AC blasting for lunch and was cold, so we grabbed a terrace seat — enjoying the outside air with drinks and dessert felt refreshing and nice.

It's good for visiting with a group, good for going alone for a quiet coffee, and good for chatting comfortably with friends or family.

How the matcha choux cream latte, real strawberry latte and coconut kaya croissant tasted

Our order came out quickly — matcha choux cream latte, real strawberry latte, and coconut kaya croissant.

The lush green view was so nice. Full of healing vibes and great for photos too.

I fell for the matcha choux cream latte after tasting it. It's piled high with choux cream on top, which is sweet and delicious, and it pairs well with the bitterness of the matcha underneath. A drink I want again.

I keep thinking about this combo, so I plan to order the matcha choux cream latte again next time too. It goes well with dessert, and it's a menu item I'd recommend if you like matcha.

The real strawberry latte is packed with strawberries. Strawberries and milk are a combo that's hard to mess up. It's sweet and refreshing, so it's fun to alternate between this and the matcha choux cream latte.

We decided to try something new and ordered the coconut kaya croissant.

The croissant was flaky and nutty, and the coconut-kaya combo worked out pretty well. A great choice for dessert.

A Gimhae café where both the drinks and dessert were delicious. If you're craving something sweet, go for the strawberry latte; if you like matcha, pick the matcha choux cream latte. And if you're in the mood for dessert on top of that, I'd recommend the coconut kaya croissant too.

Why Yu Yu Yu is worth a second visit

Yu Yu Yu in Gimhae is spacious and comfortable, a great place to relax with good drinks and dessert. The drink-and-dessert combo was so good that I want to go back and try more of the bakery items next time.

Photos come out great here too, so I'd recommend it as a date spot. I got to enjoy dessert and coffee at a relaxed pace in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. It's a good place to stop by when you want an uncluttered, calm café break in Gimhae, and one I'd like to visit again next time I'm nearby.
