Why a pregnant writer chose lash extensions at Almond Eyelashes

Almond Eyelashes (아몬드속눈썹) is a lash extension and lash lift salon between Beomil-dong and Seomyeon. Same-day appointments are possible, and booking is easy through Naver Booking. The salon is introduced as good at both lash lifts and extensions, but since I'm pregnant, I decided on extensions, which are a bit gentler! Reviews said the extensions look natural and turn out well, so I felt I could trust them.

Where is Almond Eyelashes, and what are its hours?

The address is 156 Beomil-ro, 2nd floor, Busanjin-gu, Busan, and it's open 10:00–22:00, closed on Sundays. It's on the Beomil-dong jewelry street side, with Hyundai Connect nearby, so it's easy to find! It's also a short walk from Beomil Station, which made it super easy for those of us without a car :)

The owner's consultation and the shop atmosphere

The owner does a one-on-one consultation and aims for a natural, well-balanced result, and she is very kind! She has a charm that puts people in a good mood. She talked me through the extensions in a soft, calm voice. Even first-timers for lash lifts or extensions can book without worrying, I think.

The shop is decorated neatly, really like a café. The waiting area is roomy too, so it's comfortable even if you come with a companion.

Almond Eyelashes prices and my design: C curl 9–10mm, 0.15mm

Please check the price list above :-) The prices are better than at other salons, too! It isn't on the menu, but you can also add white LED extensions, which are said to last twice as long.

This time I got basic extensions, with a mix of C curl 9–10mm for a natural look. I went with 0.15mm thickness, which she said looks the most natural. She looked at my eye shape and thought with me about what would suit it best, and I was so grateful for her recommendations.

Almond Eyelashes isn't only for lash lifts and extensions. They also do brow lifting, brow waxing and skin planing, and the reviews for those are really good too~!

Is the treatment space private and hygienic?

I had the treatment lying on a soft bed in a private space. The bed was so fluffy and lovely. It's a bed you could happily sleep deeply on!

They also put a disposable sheet over the pillow, so I was very happy about hygiene too. When you're pregnant, every little thing like this makes you so happy, haha.

How long it took, from removing old lashes to new extensions

I had all my remaining old lashes removed at Almond Eyelashes. My old lashes were falling out in patches, so my eyes felt so bare... and my confidence dropped too, sob. Being pregnant, I also didn't want to bother with mascara every time, so extensions are the answer, sob. The removal of my old extensions was so gentle that I didn't even realize it was happening, haha.

She applied the under-eye patches carefully, and even with lash removal it took less than 1 hour. Her hands are really fast, and she handled my eyes so carefully. There was no discomfort at all... I slept soundly, snoring away, haha.
