Goseong sashimi platter by Bongpo Beach, ₩69,000: Bongpo Hoega
Bongpo Hoega is a raw fish restaurant right next to Bongpo Beach in Goseong, Gangwon, and it keeps a separate takeout price list that is cheaper than dining in. The medium mixed sashimi platter came to 69,000 won to go, packed with lettuce, perilla leaves, vinegar-chili sauce, aged kimchi and shrimp, and even the medium size was a generous portion of chewy, clearly fresh fish. The side vegetables at Bongpo Hoega were crisp too, with nothing dried out or browned.
