Seolleung pasta restaurant lunch date, spicy brisket bowl: Kkuudeok

Today I had a seriously luxurious lunch! It's Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch, and I was happy with everything: the owner's food quality, the atmosphere, the staff. The combo of rich, thick pasta and steak is the best!! It's also a place I really recommend for a blind date or a date. If you're looking for a date spot around Seolleung Station, I highly recommend it. So, let's start today's detailed and honest review!

How to get to Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch and opening hours

Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch is a 5-minute walk from Seolleung Station Exit 2, and please note that parking is not available. It's open from 11am to 9pm, break time is 14:30–15:30 on weekdays and 15:00–16:30 on weekends, and last order is 8:30pm!

If there's a wait, you can join the queue through Catch Table, and Naver Reservation and Smart Call also work~ I booked through Naver Reservation and it was super convenient~ (I highly recommend Naver Reservation, haha)

Seating and atmosphere at Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch

Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch has soft lighting and 37 seats in total. There are seven 4-person tables and one 6-person table, so there's group seating too~ (Most people there came as a pair!)

What's in the Kkuudeok Hansang set, and how much is it?

The Kkuudeok Hansang (full-table) set is ₩46,800 and comes with 2 pastas, 1 steak and 2 drinks. You get steak and pasta together, so that's why I chose it! It looked like just the right amount for two people~

The pasta in the Hansang set could be swapped for risotto or rice bowls and other options, and for the steak I went with the flat iron steak!

The pasta comes in cream, tomato, rosé and oil styles. I picked the cheese meat pasta and the spicy brisket rice bowl!

Side dishes include rye bread (2 pieces) with butter cream cheese, rice balls, salad, cake and even highballs. I ordered the ₩3,000 rye bread as a starter! Kkuudeok looks great for anniversaries with a partner or friends, since you can finish everything in one restaurant~ (You can see the owner's thoughtfulness: starter bread, salad, and if you're still hungry, even rice balls~)

Is Kkuudeok's rye bread with butter worth ordering?

After we sat down and ordered, they set the table first and brought pickles and drinks.

The ₩3,000 rye bread was definitely worth ordering. The rye bread and butter came out, and oh my gosh, the butter... the butter was really delicious. The bread was baked crispy and moist, and it went so well with the butter. (If you were wondering about a starter bread, I totally recommend it!!!)

Flat iron steak grilled on a brazier at Kkuudeok

The flat iron steak in the Kkuudeok Hansang set comes pre-seared, and you finish grilling it yourself on the brazier at your table. The garnishes were lightly grilled corn, mushrooms and asparagus, with butter and wasabi.

Look at the color of that meat... wow! Isn't it amazing~

It came with salt, steak sauce, whole grain mustard and a sweet-sour sauce for dipping. (The sweet-sour sauce with green onion and cheese powder was a tasty combo.)

They put butter on the brazier first, then added the meat while cooking the garnishes. Since it comes pre-seared, it cooked quickly with just a short grill, and they also gave us personal tongs, which made it easy to eat.

After a while the corn and mushrooms were nicely cooked too~ The mushrooms were really juicy, and the corn was the perfect final palate cleanser~

The steak went best with the whole grain mustard!

How spicy is Kkuudeok's spicy brisket rice bowl?

The cheese meat pasta and spicy brisket rice bowl we picked arrived~

Kkuudeok's spicy brisket rice bowl was really a bit spicy. But the meat... the meat was just so, so delicious.. and the base mixed into the rice was so good too.. (I was totally startled....)

Kkuudeok's cheese meat pasta came with a tomato base and an enormous amount of cheese on top.

Even when I mixed it, the thick cheese kept coming up with it. And the pasta noodles were cooked just right!! (Ugh, I want to go eat it again) I scooped up a bite, can you see the cheese stretching.. (my mouth is watering, haha)

Is Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch good for a Seolleung Station lunch date?

Among the pasta and steak restaurants I've been to lately, Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch is by far number 1!!! It was great for a date, and since there are set menus, choosing what to order was really easy. We were two people, a man and a woman, and left full from the Kkuudeok Hansang set, and even though we grilled the meat ourselves on the brazier, it was really tender.

If you're visiting as a pair, I recommend the Kkuudeok Hansang set, and please, please!!! order the pasta, haha. If you're looking for a date or blind date spot around Seolleung Station, I recommend Kkuudeok Seolleung Main Branch!!
