Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch (쏘삼208 수원역점) is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Exit 13 of Suwon Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi, where staff grill pork belly for you on a stone plate. Two adults and one elementary schooler shared a medium 500g mixed stone-grill platter, an extra serving of pork belly, lava fondue cheese and basalt snowflake kimchi fried rice, and the whole family was happy with the taste. The bill, expected to reach ₩100,000, came in between ₩70,000 and ₩80,000, which makes Ssosam 208 a good-value pork BBQ spot near Suwon Station.

Beomgye Italian family lunch with smoked chicken steak: Two Find Peter

Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch is an Italian restaurant that takes up the entire 5th floor of Park Avenue L near Beomgye Station in Anyang, Gyeonggi. On a family lunch visit at a window seat, the writer shared ragu fettuccine, abalone innards cream risotto and smoked chicken steak for a total of 52,000 won, reordering the smoked chicken steak she had enjoyed the year before. Two Find Peter Beomgye Branch delivered reliably good food and a pleasant atmosphere, making it a refreshing family meal out.

Suwon fish restaurant, braised cutlassfish and 9-team wait: Godeungeo

Godeungeo Myeongpumi Doeda Suwon Branch is a large grilled and braised fish restaurant in Topdong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. On this repeat visit the order was grilled cutlassfish at 19,000 won and braised cutlassfish for two at 19,000 won, and joining the CatchTable remote waitlist before setting off meant only a short wait even with 9 groups ahead. Between the braising sauce, the self-bar yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) and the sikhye (sweet rice drink), Godeungeo Myeongpumi Doeda is a west Suwon restaurant worth returning to.
