Yuksik Wang, located in Junglidong, Icheon, is a BBQ restaurant sitting in the shopping street between Icheon Terminal and Icheon's Anheungji Lake. A friend had told me it was delicious, and I kept passing it on the bus without ever stopping — so this time I finally went.
It opens at 4pm, so I did an opening rush that felt like a daytime-drinking kind of move, but even at that early hour there were already plenty of people coming for meat — that's how famous this place is as an Icheon BBQ restaurant.
Where is Yuksik Wang in Icheon, and where do you park?
Yuksik Wang is on the first floor of 116 Junglicheon-ro, Icheon-si, open daily 16:00–23:00. The signage is bold enough to spot from far away.

Parking is available at the public lot in front of the store. If it's full, there's also underground parking in the Grand Wedding Hall / Haneulae Oriental Medicine Hospital building, and each table gets 2 hours of parking support.

Icheon foodie spot Yuksik Wang has a lot of freebies and plenty of great-value menu items.

It's a Gyeonggi regional currency accepting merchant, and there are also coupons for booking through Naver.
Is Yuksik Wang quiet at the 4pm opening?
Yuksik Wang fills up fast even right after opening. The inside is spacious enough for group gatherings, and I figured an opening rush would mean barely any customers — but when I got there around 4:10pm, there were already people eating, and not long after, almost every table was full.

They also stock a range of drinks like soju, beer, and cheongha.

Since I'd booked through Naver, the table was already set up for my arrival time. With this many customers, booking ahead seems like the way to go.
They also have disposable aprons and baby chairs on hand, so dining out with kids is no problem.
Yuksik Wang review event perks
There are actually three ways to score freebies through the review event. Write a Naver reservation review and get chicken neck meat; write a review on Naver, Kakao Map, Google, or Danggeun and get pork skin — and you can even double up and get a drink too.
The beef is top-grade Australian wagyu, and the pork is domestic Korean pork, grade 1.
It got a bit warm once customers suddenly crowded in, and when I mentioned it, they brought over a personal desk fan without hesitation.
What to order at Yuksik Wang

Yuksik Wang has both Korean pork and beef, so you can pick whatever suits your taste, and the platter menus are great value for money, which is probably why most people order those. Since I went with a friend, this is what we ordered:
- Wagyu assorted platter (400g)
- Meat-packed Korean pork kimchi stew (gimchi-jjigae)
- Rice
- Soju
Charcoal grill and side dishes at Yuksik Wang

The charcoal that came out after ordering the meat looked like great-quality coal, already at the perfect state for grilling.
The individual plates came with sauce, and they were generously sized, which was convenient. There was a good variety of side dishes too, and the wrap vegetables were all fresh. The wasabi was fresh-grated too, which was a nice touch.
Steamed egg came as a default side too, which was great for coating the stomach before drinking.

400g wagyu assorted platter: how does each cut taste?
Yuksik Wang's wagyu assorted platter comes with short rib meat (galbisal), sirloin (saengdeungsim), and skirt steak (salchisal), plus a vegetable assortment. Since it's top grade, the marbling is no joke.

First cut: wagyu rib finger meat
We started with the short rib meat. Mushrooms, cheongyang peppers, and cherry tomatoes also came out, so we grilled those alongside.

Eating it dipped in salt among the various sauces available. The short rib meat was chewy yet tender. The beefy flavor was deep too — so good.

Second cut: fresh wagyu sirloin
Second up was the sirloin. Maybe because it's top-grade wagyu sirloin, it was incredibly tender.

Last cut: wagyu chuck flap, the best of the day
Last was my personal favorite beef cut, skirt steak (salchisal). Honestly, since I love skirt steak the most, I wasn't expecting much from the short rib meat or sirloin beforehand — but they were so good that my expectations for the skirt steak went even higher.
And skirt steak is still skirt steak. Even piling on tons of wasabi, you could barely feel the sharp kick of it. Genuinely so, so delicious. The top cut of the day.

How is the meat-packed Korean pork kimchi stew?
Yuksik Wang's meat-packed Korean pork kimchi stew (gimchi-jjigae) arrived just as we were about to finish the beef. True to its name, it was loaded with meat, tofu, and kimchi.
The kimchi stew had a slightly tangy taste. It went perfectly with rice mixed in. It cut through the beef's fattiness really well, making it the ideal way to finish the meal.

When the food is this good, the drinks just keep flowing. We ate a bit quickly because we were pressed for time due to another plan, but somehow, since we ate so heartily, I didn't feel drunk at all. Left having eaten so well.
Who is Yuksik Wang in Icheon best for?
Every time I passed by Yuksik Wang, there were always a lot of customers, and now, having eaten there, I get why. The platter menus in particular are popular for their great value, and it was nice being able to eat top-grade wagyu as an affordable assortment. Plus, thanks to the review event, you can also get pork skin and chicken neck meat, making the meal even more generous.
That day, there were families dining out, groups having a get-together after a meeting, and couples on dates — all kinds of customers — so it seems like a good spot no matter who you go with. If you're craving good beef in Icheon, this one's worth a visit.
