Dog brunch between vet visits in Juyeop: eggs Benedict at Like Like

A dog-friendly Ilsan brunch spot on the way to the vet

Like Like Ilsan Juyeop Branch is a dog-friendly brunch café near Ilsan Lake Park and the vet, so it's a great place to stop with your dog in the gap between appointments. My dog Gunbam has been having trouble with his left eye and nose lately, so we've been going around to different vets. I booked one in Ilsan, had some time to kill in the middle, and that's how I ended up at Like Like Juyeop~

It's close to the vet and the lake park, and there seem to be lots of good-value menu items, so I wanted to share it with you^^

What's on the menu at Like Like Juyeop?

Like Like Juyeop is a brunch café serving sandwiches, eggs Benedict, paninis, French toast, soup and a range of café drinks. This one is close to Ilsan Lake Park and allows dogs~ There were lots of good-value dishes in every category!

Parking, seating and the dog menu

Like Like Juyeop is close to Juyeop Station, and it's inside Sidae Plaza, so café customers get up to 2 hours of free parking! If you search the address, you'll be guided to the Sidae Plaza building.

We went on a weekday at lunch. The café is small, with about 6-7 tables, and it was fairly busy. There were limited menu items sold only in autumn, plus drinks and treats for dogs too~

There were handmade dog donuts, dog pizza and a puppuccino, and there's even a dog brunch set that pairs a dog donut or dog pizza with a puppuccino, haha. Ordering the dog menu alongside your own would be fun^^

Set menu or a la carte?

With the Like Like Juyeop set menu, you choose either handmade potato cream soup or banana blueberry yogurt (+2.5), and you can order one drink from grapefruit juice, orange juice, milk, cola or sprite at 50% off. There were also coupons you can use for free if you make a Naver reservation before visiting!

We wanted something light, so from the Like signature brunch menu I ordered the eggs Benedict a la carte and the maple butter French toast, plus an americano and orange juice~ I didn't use any coupons, and since I wasn't very hungry I ordered the food and drinks separately, haha. (With the Naver coupon there was a café latte option too!)

How were the a la carte eggs Benedict and the americano?

The eggs Benedict came as 2 pieces on ciabatta, with salad and sausage. The ingredients and the bread were tasty and went well with coffee, and the salad was fresh and the sausage was good too!

The americano had no acidity and a nutty flavor, exactly my kind of coffee^^

Maple butter French toast: enough to share between two?

The maple French toast is golden-grilled bread with butter and sweet maple syrup, and it was a little too small for two people to share. You could tell at a glance it wouldn't fail... haha.

Golden bread, butter and sweet maple syrup, surely that would go so well together... and it was even better than I expected, so I started eating faster, haha. It was sweet but soft, and went really well with coffee.

Ordering another would leave me too full, haha, but one is not enough... It's like bibim noodles, where you want about one and a half servings? Haha.

Is it worth going back?

I came to Like Like Juyeop in a hurry with my dog and without big expectations, but since it's a dog-friendly café, lots of people had brought their dogs, which made it easy to visit. The menu is good value too, so it's nice either a la carte or as a set! I plan to come back on my next vet visit~
