Why we stopped at Pink Wall Cafe on Yongyuseo-ro after a weekday lunch

Pink Wall Cafe is a pink-toned bakery café at 111 Yongyuseo-ro, Building 2, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon. We went on a weekday after lunch, as a little drive with my husband. Past lunchtime it was quiet and relaxed.

After a tidy weekday lunch nearby with my husband, going straight home felt like a bit of a waste. The weather was just right for a drive, so we headed toward Yongyuseo-ro in Yeongjong for a cold coffee and some fresh air.

While deciding where to go, we picked Pink Wall Cafe: the entrance is decorated in a lovely pink that catches the eye, and it's known for its rice-flour bagels. I'd heard it gets crowded on weekends, but on a weekday after lunch it was quiet and relaxed, so we could rest without any stress.

The address is 111 Yongyuseo-ro, Building 2, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon. It sits right by the Yongyuseo-ro roadside on the way to Eulwangni and Wangsan beaches, so it's a perfect drive-by stop. A pink wall that screams photo spot stands outside the building, so we spotted it from far away.

What are the parking and indoor/outdoor spaces like?

Pink Wall Cafe has a large private parking lot, so parking is easy. Inside, the ceilings are high and the seats are spaced widely, and there's an outdoor area too. Dogs are allowed.

The first thing I liked on arrival was the big private parking lot. The spaces are roomy and convenient, so parking was really easy.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by a wide-open high ceiling and bright pink interior. It wasn't over-the-top cutesy or stuffy; it was lovely yet stylish, and photos came out beautifully from any angle.

The indoor seats are spaced widely enough that nothing feels cramped, and there's an open outdoor area as well. Since it's dog-friendly, I thought it would be great to bring a dog next time and sit on the terrace. With such wide, comfortable seating, it's also a great place for families or groups of friends.

How do the café latte (₩7,500) and lemonade (₩8,500) taste?

The café latte was ₩7,500 and the lemonade ₩8,500. The latte had a nice balance of nutty espresso and smooth milk, and the lemonade kept its lemony tang and fizz without going overboard.

After settling into a seat, we went to the counter to order. We'd just eaten, so I picked light drinks. I chose a warm, nutty café latte (₩7,500), and my husband wanted something tangy and cold, so he ordered the lemonade (₩8,500).

The drinks came out a little while later, and they looked neat and tidy.

Café latte (₩7,500)

The latte was topped with soft, fluffy milk foam. One sip and the rich, nutty espresso blended really nicely with the smooth milk. It wasn't watery or burnt, just a well-balanced latte, and it washed away that sleepy post-lunch feeling.

Lemonade (₩8,500)

The lemonade my husband ordered looked refreshing enough to cool you down just by looking at it. It wasn't all artificial syrup; the lemon's natural tang and the fizz were there without being too much, a clean taste that clears your chest when you feel stuffy. My husband loved it too, saying it was cold, sweet and tangy.

Rice bagels and the bakery display at Pink Wall Cafe

Pink Wall Cafe is a bakery café serving a variety of bagels and cream cheeses. Their bagels are made with rice instead of wheat flour and are said to be chewy and soft. We were too full for bagels this time, so we just browsed the display.

While drinking, I looked around the bakery display at one side of the shop. Pink Wall Cafe turns out to be very well known as a bakery café offering a variety of bagels and cream cheeses.

The special thing about the bagels here is that they're made with rice instead of wheat flour, so the texture is much chewier and softer. I hear a plain rice bagel topped with house-made cream cheese goes together wonderfully.

Among the popular signature drinks, the Pink Wall Ade, a showstopper that blends mango and peach flavors, is also famous, so it's worth a note for anyone planning to try a drink. We were too full for bagels this time, so next time we'll come when we're a bit hungry and properly try the rice bagel with cream cheese.
