Charcoal cleansing balm for oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan

Why did I try it for sebum concerns?

In summer, I was concerned about acne and oiliness, especially the visible sebum in the pores around my nose. Because my habit of squeezing it with my hands had made the area feel sensitive, I tried a cleansing balm for sebum care.

Was the texture and packaging easy to use?

The black, charcoal-colored balm had a sherbet-like texture that scooped out smoothly. It melted gently as I spread it over my skin, and controlling the amount was not difficult either.

The spatula being attached to the lid was convenient, since I did not need to store it separately or look for it.

How did it remove makeup?

I tried it on lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara, and saw them come off after rubbing a few times. When I used it on a made-up face, the black balm turned gray, making the emulsifying process easy to see.

What is the order of use?

• I spread it evenly over a dry face.
• I massaged it mainly over areas where pores and blackheads concerned me.
• After massaging areas with heavier makeup, I added a little water to emulsify it.
• Once it had emulsified into a white color, I rinsed it off and cleansed again if needed.

How did my skin feel after cleansing?

I prefer a squeaky-clean finish, so I also did a second cleanse with cleansing powder. Even after the second cleanse, my skin felt fresh rather than tight, and it was fine to use as a first cleanse after makeup.

That said, I do not tend to like a slippery feeling after use, and this product felt more fresh and soft to me. Skin reactions can vary from person to person.
