Group lunch spot in Bundang for mushroom doenjang jjigae: Jinnaedjang
Jinnaedjang Bundang Jeongja is a hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) restaurant at 6-1 Naejeong-ro 129beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Visiting with a friend before the holidays, the writer ordered the mushroom-filled doenjang jjigae with an assorted mushroom topping for 3,000 won, yukjeon-saeujeon (beef and shrimp pancake) for 17,900 won, icy mukbap (acorn jelly in chilled broth) for 10,000 won and a Cass Zero 0.0 alcohol-free beer. Jeon pan-fried to order by a cook with 38 years of experience and a deep, nutty stew made Jinnaedjang a meal worth returning to with parents.
