Nowon skin care salon for rounded shoulders and forward neck: Ryeowon

Even though I sweat through workouts every day, the fat that just won't leave is mostly my upper arms and my sides, sigh. So today I visited Ryeowon Skin Care (려원 피부관리), a Nowon salon famous for contouring and dress line care. I got the dress line care, which covers everything from the arms to the collarbone, neck and shoulder line in one go. I was so happy with it, so let me tell you all about Ryeowon Skin Care!

Where is Ryeowon Skin Care, and what are the hours and parking?

Ryeowon Skin Care is at Room 304, Mido Building, 1426 Dongil-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul, on the 3rd floor of the Mido Building by Nowon Station. It is open Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, and closed every Sunday.

It's been so long since I've been to the BYC building, haha! I was told Ryeowon Skin Care used to be near Boram intersection in Sanggye before moving, and it's really close to Nowon Station, so access is great.

What is the inside of Ryeowon Skin Care like?

Thanks to the open, sunny floor-to-ceiling windows, the inside made both my body and mind feel healed~🌿 It was very clean and pleasant, and the treatment rooms are private, so I could relax without worrying about anyone else.

There are two treatment areas, and one of them is a dedicated space where you can even get a head spa.

As you'd expect from a top Nowon contouring spot, one side displays plaster-cast molds of customers' faces. That's proof lots of people keep coming back for contouring, right? Haha!

Before the treatment there's a short consultation and chart. I told them my current posture and problem areas, and they explained in detail what care I needed, which I really liked, haha.

How much is dress line care at Ryeowon Skin Care?

Dress line care at Ryeowon Skin Care is ₩120,000 for members and ₩140,000 for regular customers. The menu was very varied: face, body, bridal care, head spa and Troi Peel care.

Add-on services are cheaper when you combine body and face, which is nice!! Today I had the dress line care💕 It focuses on the arms, shoulders, trapezius and collarbone line that always bothered me, so I think it's perfect for brides-to-be or anyone aiming to slim down and tidy their lines this summer!

A perk for engaged couples

Contouring and dress line care are the two treatments brides always get!! If you book both at Ryeowon Skin Care, the groom gets one free contouring session, so it would be great for an engaged couple to go together, haha. I also really want to try Troi Peel care, a peeling treatment said to be good for skin renewal.

How does the dress line care go?

The dress line care at Ryeowon Skin Care went carefully through the back, arms, neck, shoulders, trapezius and chest line in that order, and I'd say it was about 20% device and 80% hand massage. Today the manager treated me, and she was the best🫶

She worked on my back and arms carefully with a radiofrequency suction machine, and adding the hand massage afterward made it even more satisfying. I could feel knotted muscles release and my body felt lighter👍👍 It wasn't just loosening tight spots; I could feel her shaping my lines, which I loved.

Hand care for rounded shoulders and a tight trapezius

My trapezius is usually very tight and my shoulders are rounded, which makes my neck look short, and that's been a worry. She worked on that area by hand very thoroughly. Afterward my shoulders felt naturally opened up and my rock-hard trapezius was much softer, so refreshing!!

Did one session of dress line care change the neckline?

Wow wow👏👏 To compare before and after, I took side-profile selfies in the same pose, and my neck was genuinely longer, I was shocked!! No wonder the dress line care is so famous.

The manager's touch was truly art...😍 If this is the result from just one session, I bet with regular visits the day could come when I escape forward neck and get a giraffe neck.

Tea and the powder room after treatment

Ryeowon Skin Care gave me a cold iced tea before the treatment, and when I came out afterward they had a cup of warm tea ready☕️ My tense body melted and both body and mind felt lighter~~ This is real healing🫶

There's also a powder area where you can tidy your hair and face after treatment^^ If you have plans afterward, there's sunscreen and tint for a quick touch-up too 👌 You can sort everything out inside Ryeowon Skin Care, haha. It was a really satisfying dress line care session 👋👋

It was a very satisfying treatment, covering the upper arms, collarbone, neckline and shoulder line that are hard to manage with exercise alone.
