Haenggung Jangjak Hanbang Tongdak is an oak-fired whole chicken restaurant in an alley next to Hwaseong Haenggung in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. The traditional seasoned oak-fired chicken costs 25,000 won, and a mozzarella cheese topping adds 4,000 won; the takeout box came with chicken that stayed moist even in the breast, plus glutinous rice packed with chestnuts and jujubes. A good choice when fried chicken feels too heavy.
