Sujeong Galbi Seongsa Main Branch (수정갈비 성사본점) is a charcoal-grilled pork galbi restaurant on Heungdo-ro in Seongsa-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. The writer and their mom had the weekday lunch special of Handon Wang-gui Yangnyeom (280g marinated Korean pork, ₩21,000) and were happy with the tender galbi, side dishes such as marinated crab, japchae and yuja lotus root salad, mul naengmyeon (cold noodles), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and self-serve homemade sikhye. Sujeong Galbi is a good-value lunch galbi spot for anyone who cares about the side dishes as much as the meat.

Cheongdam Italian restaurant, cold uni shrimp capellini: Osteria Eden

Osteria Eden is an Italian restaurant in Cheongdam, Seoul, on Seolleung-ro 152-gil near Apgujeongnodeo Station. Dongtan hair salon layered cut + volume magic, no flat iron: Juno Hair

Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch is a 95-pyeong hair salon on the 2nd floor of Lotte Front Castle Building B, right in front of Dongtan Station (SRT) in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. The writer's straight perm had worn off late last year, leaving her thick hair frizzy and making daily flat-ironing a chore. Dongtan izakaya: hangover gopchang stew, Toowoomba risotto, Horangigul

Horangigul (호랑이굴), Lotte Department Store Dongtan is an izakaya-style restaurant known for gopchang (beef offal) hot pot, on B1 of Lotte Department Store at Dongtan Station in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. The day after a night of heavy drinking, the writer came to Horangigul to cure a hangover with gopchang-daechang hot pot (Shin Ramyun spice level, 1 serving), a gyudon (beef rice bowl) set and Toowoomba risotto; the offal had no gamey smell, and the spicy broth grew richer the longer it simmered, which was just right for a hangover. Verdict: Horangigul Dongtan is a solid choice for a hangover meal or for a group with different spice tolerances.
