Dongtan hair salon layered cut + volume magic, no flat iron: Juno Hair

The salon rumored to be the biggest in Dongtan. I went to see for myself!

This time I really made up my mind and went! I looked around at hair salons near Dongtan Station and settled on Juno Hair Dongtan. The short version: I'm completely satisfied, haha.

The interior at Juno Hair Dongtan surprised me the moment I walked in

The second I opened the door, a "wow" just slipped out. The salon is so big I wondered if it's the biggest in Dongtan, and every bit of the interior was sparkly and upscale. I heard it opened during the Covid period, and you can feel how much care went into the interior even back then. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was being treated like a VIP.

A kids' zone, so you can bring your child

What impressed me most at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch was the kids' zone. Dongtan is a neighborhood with lots of families raising kids, and the salon has set aside a separate space for children inside. I thought it would be so easy to get your hair done with a child in tow. Seeing that kind of detail, I could tell they've really thought about the customer's side.

Frizzy hair after the straight perm wore off: the before shot

This is my hair before the volume magic. I got a straight perm late last year, but as time passes it gets frizzier and frizzier, you know? Ironing it every day before going out took a lot of time and became a hassle, so I visited Juno Hair Dongtan.

The director, with 20 years of experience, did my hair himself

The director did my treatment personally. Maybe because he takes such good care of himself, he looks really cool, and his skill goes without saying. He's also funny, so I was never bored during the whole treatment. He has a full 20 years of experience, and customers bring their whole families, so apparently three generations come to him for their hair. At this point, shouldn't we say his skill has already been proven, haha?

Layered cut first, then volume magic

First he started with a layered cut, adding layers. My hair is thick and tends to be frizzy, and once he layered it, it definitely felt lighter. Then he straightened it with volume magic, and it finished smooth and silky with no damage at all. Throughout the treatment, I could feel how skilled his hands were.

Why even the waiting time after the treatment product was fun

While I waited after the volume magic product was applied, Juno Hair Dongtan gave me an iced Americano with bear-shaped ice. Honestly, the waiting time after the product goes on is the most boring part, right? But here they even thought about that. The ice was, believe it or not, shaped like little bears! I laughed to myself at the sense in such a small detail, hahaha. Thanks to that, the waiting time wasn't boring at all.

5 shampoo rooms, and the massage-chair shampoo room is Juno Hair Dongtan's pride

The shampoo room is what I really want to brag about at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch. There are single rooms and double rooms, plus a shampoo room with a massage chair, for a total of 5. I was lucky enough to get my shampoo in the massage-chair room, and it was pure healing.

It was the first time I felt so relaxed while getting my hair washed. It really is something Juno Hair Dongtan can be proud of.

Finally, it's done! Seeing my hair lighter with layers and smoothly straightened, I was so satisfied. After the treatment I also took a commemorative photo with the staff.
