Bucheon Korean BBQ after a movie: soy sauce egg rice, Cham Dwaejitgan

Today's post is about Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch, a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjung-dong Station that I visited for dinner after watching Odyssey, the movie that just came out, at CGV Sopoong Bucheon~~

It's a 3-minute walk from the Lotte Department Store side of Exit 3 at Sinjung-dong Station, tucked in the alley between McDonald's and KFC, so it's super easy to get to!!

What is Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch like inside?

There are a lot of grilled-for-you BBQ places in Bucheon, but this is one where the grilling service is really on point!!! The restaurant is huge and really comfortable~~ It's been so hot lately, but the moment I walked in it was cool, cool, cool!!!!

Both sides have floor-to-ceiling windows so it feels really open, and there are tables of all sizes from 4-person to 8-person~~ It's great for a date like me, but also perfect for friend gatherings, group meetups, or work dinners~~~

Three fridges and the self-serve bar

This Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjung-dong Station has a whopping 3 huge fridges, and they were absolutely packed with meat!! It brought back memories of old-school butcher shops^^

The self-bar at Cham Dwaejitgan has perilla leaves, lettuce, chili peppers, shredded scallion, bean sprouts, cabbage, kimchi, ssamjang (thick dipping sauce), sauces, bowls, tongs, and scissors, all kept really clean~~

Indoor restrooms and after-meal treats

This Bucheon BBQ restaurant has candy, floss, mouthwash, and Febreze on hand, plus coffee for after the meal~~

I really loved the restroom!!! Honestly, the restrooms along the Sinjung-dong food street in Bucheon are usually shared public restrooms that aren't very clean~~ But Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch has a restroom inside the store, and it's really clean^^

Side dishes and the minari wrap combo

The best way to eat at Cham Dwaejitgan!!! Spicy sauce, mushroom wasabi, three kinds of vegetables, sliced potato, garlic scapes, lettuce, perilla leaves~~

The basic side dishes include garlic scapes, shredded scallion, cabbage salad, lettuce, and perilla leaves, plus spicy sauce, wasabi, and taco wasabi~~

Kimchi, bean sprouts, and minari also come standard~ The kimchi and bean sprouts were tasty, but the minari at Cham Dwaejitgan paired with the meat was absolutely the best!!!!

The first order was black pork ogyeopsal and moksal~~ It came with king oyster mushrooms, shishito peppers, and sliced potato too~ So glossy~~ Such a pretty, rosy pink color!!!

At this pork belly restaurant near Sinjung-dong Station, staff grill the meat for you~ All you have to do is eat, so my husband and I got to chat about Odyssey, the movie we'd just watched^^

Oh! And when I ordered soju, it came with a milk thistle liver supplement! What a bonus!!

The staff grilled the ogyeopsal and moksal so well!! So glossy~~~ Bursting with juices!! Really savory and delicious~~

The signature combo unique to Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch!! Minari~ bean sprouts~ then sliced potato with garlic scapes on top, meat on top of that, and taco wasabi to finish — eating it all together is seriously the best!!

Finishing with soy sauce egg rice, 3,900 won

I was going to get fried rice, but the table next to us was eating soy sauce egg rice and it looked so good that I ordered it too~~ It came with two fried eggs on top^^ This was really tasty too~~

Adding a serving of Boseong Nokdon flower pork neck

I wanted to try the Boseong Nokdon flower pork neck too, so I ordered one extra serving~~

The Boseong Nokdon flower pork neck was really tender and mild — so good!! I wrapped it up big in lettuce and perilla leaves with bean sprouts and minari, and my mouth was full~~ and so was my happiness!!
