Suwon kalguksu restaurant: basin-sized kal-nakji for two, Daseon
Daseon Kalguksu Main Branch is an old-school kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) and suyuk (boiled pork) restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro near Suwon Station. Two women ordered the Daseon kal-nakji (noodles with octopus, made with extra broth), which arrived in a basin-sized bowl packed with noodles and seafood, plus a suyuk plate that was plenty for two, starting with barley rice mixed with radish salad and gochujang. Daseon Kalguksu was full at mealtime with people waiting outside, and the portions made it worth the queue.
