Hagik-dong bulgogi spot with baby-friendly sofa seats: Dongchuwon
In short
Dongchuwon Bulgogi is a Korean beef bulgogi restaurant near the courthouse district of Hagik-dong in Michuhol, Incheon. On a weekday lunch with her mother and a baby who can't sit up yet, the writer ordered the Korean beef bulgogi set and a discounted minari (water dropwort) Korean beef tartare, and got free chadolbagi (thin-sliced beef brisket) as a July-only extra. Dongchuwon Bulgogi's separate family seating, with wide wall-side sofas, let the baby lie down while the adults ate.

Why seating comes first when dining out with a baby
These days, when I go out to eat with Toma, the taste of the food matters, but honestly I end up looking at the seating first 😂 Since Toma can't sit up yet, there are moments I need to lay him down mid-meal, so whether there's infant companion seating, whether the tables are spaced out, and whether it's comfortable to eat with other family members have all become important.
With summer vacation season here, I was looking for somewhere to have lunch with my mom and found Dongchuwon Bulgogi, a well-known restaurant near the law district in Hagik-dong. Turns out it's already a famous spot in Hagik-dong haha.

In the end, I got to have proper bulgogi and minari beef tartare with my mom for the first time in a while, and since there was a separate infant companion seat, Toma could lie down comfortably while my mom and I had a relaxed lunch 👍😊

Dongchuwon Bulgogi is located near the law district in Hagik-dong! Parking was at the Seonjeong parking lot in the alley across from the restaurant, and after the meal, if you give them your license plate number, they'll enter your parking time for you haha.
It's an Incheon Blue Ribbon restaurant that's already appeared on various broadcasts, and knowing it's run by a certified meat master had me excited before I even walked in 👍
The meat master's Korean beef bulgogi set
We visited around lunchtime, and a lot of people were eating — most of them having bulgogi. So we ordered the Korean beef bulgogi set right away, and since ordering the set gets you a discount on the minari Korean beef tartare, I immediately added a plate haha.

The Korean beef bulgogi set comes with bulgogi, dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles), and omija tea, and there are also hot pots and rice-soup dishes, so it seemed like a good spot for a simple meal too.
Honestly, at a meat restaurant, the meat itself has to be good for real satisfaction — and maybe because there's a meat master here, the bulgogi meat was truly delicious. It was tender and the seasoning wasn't overly strong, so it was great to eat with my mom, and I thought it'd be good for family meals too.

It's basically like shabu-shabu — the meat gets grilled in the middle while below, vegetables and glass noodles go into the broth, so it wasn't heavy on the stomach and the meat was delicious, making the whole meal enjoyable haha.
We happened to go on the last day of July, and it was during a July-only event where ordering bulgogi got you a free chadolbagi (beef brisket) add-on, so we grilled that up nicely too 😋

Minari Korean beef tartare and dessert naengmyeon on the side
As you eat the bulgogi, the tartare gets prepared, and maybe because the meat was good, it was really delicious 👍 Mixed together with the egg yolk, it melted in my mouth...

By the time we were nearly done with the bulgogi, you can order dessert naengmyeon via the tablet, and I ordered the bibim (mixed) style so I could eat it together with the tartare and leftover bulgogi haha. Honestly, since it's a 'dessert' naengmyeon, I didn't expect much, but it was so good 😋 So I scraped it all up together with the leftover bulgogi and tartare.

Family seating with wide sofas: why Dongchuwon works with a baby
What I liked most about Dongchuwon Bulgogi was the separate infant companion seating designed for baby guests. There were about 4 tables of this kind, and the wall-side sofa seats were much wider than usual, giving plenty of room to lay Toma down.

When you eat out with a baby, there's the diaper bag, baby items to pull out, and needing to hold and soothe him from time to time — if the seat is tight, even good food gets hard to enjoy, right? But here, there was plenty of room even with Toma lying down, so I could have a relatively comfortable meal with my mom for the first time in a while!
Good for family meals and work dinners too
Dongchuwon Bulgogi seemed like it would work well not just for family meals but also for work dinners or gatherings. Bulgogi itself is an approachable dish, and the basic side dish lineup was clean, so it felt like a good place to bring parents.

Since it was good going with my mom and baby, I think it'd be great to come back with the rest of the family too. The restaurant also sells meal kits, and I noticed my neighborhood group-buy chat had a deal for them haha, so next time I'd like to pick one up.

Dongchuwon Bulgogi: a Hagik-dong restaurant made for Incheon family gatherings
Dongchuwon Bulgogi stayed memorable not just for the taste of the meat but for how easy it was to bring a baby. The Korean beef bulgogi set was well composed, and finishing with dessert naengmyeon and omija tea made the meal feel complete 😋
Especially with the Korean beef tartare added on top of the set, it was fully satisfying as a family outing for meat lovers.
