Today, after watching a magic show with Eunwoo and Eunwoo's dad, I really wanted Chinese food, so we headed to Jjambbong Jijon Jung-dong Branch! Jjambbong Jijon has a lot of branches, but it's famous as a jjamppong spot in Sinjung-dong 😋 I've eaten here a few times before and the jjamppong is especially amazing. Another great thing — you can adjust the spice level?! Since I love spicy food… 🔥 It's also great that Jjambbong Jijon Jung-dong Branch opens early in the morning and stays open until the next dawn 🫡

The rice noodle jjamppong on the menu looks so good too — I'll have to try it next time, I'm curious. Bucheon's jjamppong spot Jjambbong Jijon Jung-dong Branch also has a perfect hygiene rating. Wow 💯

The self-bar: free drinks, hot rice and kids' tableware

At the self-bar of Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch, you can drink coffee and beverages for free, and bowls, kids' tableware, and warm rice are all set out. I'm so touched by Jjambbong Jijon Jung-dong Branch, a jjamppong spot in Sinjung-dong… 😭 Being able to have coffee and drinks for free… Seeing that they've made it convenient even for delivery drivers really warmed my heart. The owner is the best, seriously… such a kind heart… 💯🤎

There's a self-bar too, kept spotlessly clean, and it's stocked with the bowls and kids' tableware we need — as parents who go out with our kid, we're touched all over again here 🤎 There's warm rice too. For Eunwoo, who isn't a big fan of fried rice, it was a ray of light 💫 We scooped some rice and Eunwoo ate it with the tangsuyuk haha

What we ordered at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch was three things: jijon tangsuyuk (small), jjamppong, and shrimp fried rice, and if you make a Naver reservation, you get the new menu item jjamppong fried dumpling as a coupon. You have to eat it. It's a surprisingly great taste... 🐷🤎

Since it was our first meal, we got greedy. There's also sticky rice tangsuyuk, but we're old-style tangsuyuk people 🤭

Each table has sauces and small plates. The basic side dishes are jjachai (pickled radish) and danmuji.

So worthy of being a Sinjung-dong hot spot... I asked for the tangsuyuk sauce separately and Jjambbong Jijon even sliced onions into it. So great 🥹🤎

How spicy is the extra-spicy jjamppong at Jjambbong Jijon?

The jjamppong at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch has adjustable spice, so I ordered it spicy. I love noodles and I'm the type who always orders jjamppong at a Chinese restaurant no matter what — the jjamppong at this Bucheon spot is so delicious....... 🤎 Since you can adjust the spice, making it spicy made it even more delicious... The portion was clearly big, but sharing it with my husband, I kind of regretted not ordering the large size^^^haha

Shrimp fried rice, dipped in the jjamppong broth

The shrimp fried rice portion was big, so we mixed half and dipped the other half in the jjamppong broth. Shrimp fried rice is always delicious no matter when you eat it, and the portion is huge... 💯 Since you have to dip the fried rice in the jjamppong broth, we don't mix it all together, haha. Half mixed, half dipped in the broth — isn't that how all the food connoisseurs eat it? 🤣

Jijon tangsuyuk: crispy old-style sweet and sour pork

The jijon tangsuyuk is a crispy old-style tangsuyuk. The batter was different from other Chinese restaurants, which surprised me. Maybe that's why it was even crispier and more delicious. The meat was thick too >.< You must order the tangsuyuk! Dip it deep in the sauce with the onions and it's amazing.. 🩷

Dipping the fried rice in the jjamppong broth is so delicious, I'm telling you!! Don't order plain rice, order the fried rice and eat it this way.. 🤎

I was surprised by the jjamppong dumplings — I thought the name was just a name, but they actually tasted like real jjamppong, which was so surprising! Totally delicious (seriously). I was too full to eat one, but my husband said it was good and told me to try it, so I ate half — and then ended up finishing a whole piece~haha. You must try it 🤤

Jjambbong Jijon Jung-dong Branch, the Sinjung-dong hot spot, is always right... Chinese food is the best... 🤎

Between the kind staff and the owner's warm heart, we had such a pleasant meal haha. We ate so, so well. 🫶🏻
