Mideodeok doenjang stew set meal in Masan: Masan Ssamjangjip
Masan Ssamjangjip is a Korean set-meal restaurant with private rooms on Haeandae-ro in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon. The writer visited with her mother and ordered the jeyuk jeongsik (spicy stir-fried pork set, 14,900 won), which came with more than twenty side dishes, a doenjang (soybean paste) stew full of mideodeok (warty sea squirt), and a thick gang-doenjang ssamjang with freshwater snails for wrapping lettuce, plus a self-serve drink, dessert and ramyeon corner. The side dishes alone were generous enough to finish a bowl of rice, making Masan Ssamjangjip an easy pick for a family meal or eating out with kids.
