A family visit to Jino Mokjang Museon Branch during our Yeosu trip
We went to Jino Mokjang Museon Branch for a hearty family barbecue meal in Yeosu! After eating this and that during our trip, we suddenly craved meat so badly 🤣 This time we visited with Jjin-i and filled up on pork for a family dinner!
Address: Jino Mokjang Museon Branch, 104 Hwasan-ro, Yeosu-si, Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City, South Korea Hours: Daily 10:00–23:00 Last order: 22:00 No break time / open year-round

There was room for about two cars beside the restaurant, and there were also cars parked in the alley in front! There was even a Blue Ribbon selection notice posted at the entrance 😊

There was a menu board prepared separately by the entrance, so it was handy to check the menu and prices before going in!

What was convenient about visiting with a child after booking
We booked ahead through Naver, and when we arrived, they had already set up the table like this! When you go with a child, getting seated and taking care of all the little things can be surprisingly hectic, so it was convenient that we could get right down to preparing for our meal!

Side dishes, the Han-don pork platter, and flower pork belly
The complimentary side dishes were much more generous than I expected! From basics such as seasoned scallion salad and ssam vegetables (wrap greens) to buchujeon (chive pancake), corn cheese, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and steamed egg, everything came as part of the table setting! 👏🏻👏🏻 (The first steamed egg is free, and additional servings are ₩3,000.)

What we ordered was the Jino Mokjang Han-don pork platter and flower pork belly! The platter was great because we could try several cuts at once, and the flower pork belly came layered in a round shape—it really did look like a flower!

Jino Mokjang notes on its menu that every item is sourced domestically! Hearing that not just the meat but also the ingredients served with it were domestic made me trust it even more, haha. The pork we ordered was Korean Han-don pork too, so we could enjoy it with even more peace of mind 😊 Once it hit the grill, it looked so delicious just watching it turn golden brown, and grilling eggplant and shishito peppers alongside it made it even better!!

Unexpected yukhoe and yellow peach dessert
Thanks to Jjin-i, we had an unexpected bit of luck that day! A guest dining at the next table said Jjin-i was so cute and ordered us a plate of yukhoe (Korean beef tartare)! Mom and Dad happily munched on the yukhoe too, haha. We were so grateful for that warm kindness 🥹💛

To finish, chilled yellow peaches came out for dessert! They were just right for cleansing the palate with something sweet and cool after the meat, haha. We wrapped up our meal feeling full, with dessert too 👏🏻
A family meal with cuts to choose from
This time, we ordered the Han-don pork platter and flower pork belly together, so it was fun choosing among the different cuts. It was nice to enjoy a range of flavors and textures rather than just one kind of meat, and it worked well for a generous meal with a meat-loving family 😊 If I visit again, I’d like to try some other menu items too!
Overall, Jino Mokjang Museon Branch had good-quality meat and was very satisfying! 🥩 There was hardly any pork smell, and the texture was tender, so it was fun to choose among the cuts. The side dishes were plentiful, too, with lots of things to enjoy alongside the meat, so we could keep eating deliciously without getting tired of it. The restaurant also seemed to have a good number of tables, making it look suitable not only for family meals but also for group dinners with several people 😊 If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a generous meat meal in Museon-dong, Yeosu, I think Jino Mokjang Museon Branch is worth a visit!
