Gwangalli sashimi spot taking Busan fireworks bookings: Gwanganda
In short
Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is a seafood course restaurant on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown in Gwangalli, Suyeong, Busan. The writer took her mom for the 55,000-won-per-person dachi set (a multi-course seafood spread) and left stuffed after side dishes, live octopus, mixed sashimi, braised fish, spicy blue crab stew and abalone porridge. Verdict: Gwanganda Jjji is a Gwangalli seafood course restaurant well worth taking your parents to.

Gwanganda dachi course price and what's included
Gwanganda's signature menu is the dachi course (dachi hansang, a full table of seafood served in courses), ₩55,000 per person! It runs side dishes, then seafood, then mixed sashimi, then stew, braised dish, fried dish and porridge, and you'll be stuffed 😊

Course 1: skidashi side dishes
The first course of the dachi table, skidashi (small starter dishes), comes with grilled eel, cheese scallops, soy sauce marinated crab, a California roll, spicy raw fish salad, seasoned cockles and a salad.

A neatly laid-out table. ✔️ I started with the cheese-baked scallops, and there was no fishy taste at all, just tender with great cheese flavor. ✔️ The soy sauce crab wasn't too salty and the grilled eel was soft, so these are dishes everyone will like.

Kimchi pancake, cream shrimp, grilled abalone... there are so many things I didn't know what to eat first! With my kid-level taste buds, the cream shrimp was the best 💟

✔️ The tender grilled abalone is easy even for older folks to enjoy!

Is it good even if you can't eat live octopus?
The fresh raw course of Gwanganda's dachi table comes with raw shrimp, sea cucumber, turban shell, abalone sashimi and live octopus. ✔️ Can you see how fresh the octopus is, still wriggling? I normally can't eat live octopus, but it was so fresh there was no fishy taste at all, and I enjoyed it.
✔️ The raw shrimp are live shrimp peeled for you, and they were so fresh the meat was plump and springy.

What fish are in the main mixed sashimi?
✔️ Gwanganda's main dish, the mixed sashimi, lets you try seasonal fish: flatfish (olive flounder), red sea bream, sea bass and marbled flounder. Each type comes neatly arranged, so it's a good place to bring an important guest 😊
One bite of fresh flatfish dipped in chogochujang (sweet and spicy red pepper sauce).

The marbled flounder I wrapped in lettuce with ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) for a bite.
Finishing with abalone porridge and hot dishes
The abalone porridge was incredibly nutty and rich. After the cold sashimi, finishing with the porridge was filling, and my stomach felt warm and satisfied.
It's not over yet...! Braised fish, spicy crab stew and fried shrimp are still coming.

You need to finish with hot dishes to feel properly full 💟

The braised fish was seasoned all the way through, a total rice thief (so good you keep eating rice).

✔️ The spicy crab stew is also fiery and rich, so for those who love a drink, this one dish means no worrying about anju (food to go with drinks)~~

Is Gwanganda a good place to take your parents?
For dessert, Mom and I had samgye... I mean sam (ginseng)! It's perfect for a health boost, and with the course coming out so well, Gwanganda was a perfect Gwangalli sashimi restaurant for taking older family members. ✔️ If you're traveling to Busan, enjoy a seafood course at Gwanganda. I ate well again today 😊
