Kid-friendly BBQ restaurant in Taejeon-dong, Gwangju: Sangnok Hoegwan
Sangnok Hoegwan Yeontan-gui Taejeon Branch is a briquette-grill BBQ restaurant in Taejeon-dong, Gwangju, Gyeonggi, where the charcoal fire sits inside round tables. On an early weekend evening, three of us including a child ordered the mixed pork platter, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice, and grilled pineapple from the self-serve side dish bar. Ventilation at Sangnok Hoegwan was strong enough that the smoke never stung our eyes and the child ate well, so it is a family dinner spot worth returning to.
