Divers Barbershop Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch in Gangnam, Seoul is a place I liked so much last time that I came back. It's not my usual neighborhood, so every visit still feels a little exciting.

Divers Barbershop Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch is right there as you head toward Exit 2 — you can walk in without ever going outside. It was a hot day, so this made the visit very comfortable.

It's been so hot lately I don't even want to go outside~ Thankfully it's cooled down a bit since ipchu (the first day of autumn) passed.

Antique interior: the vibe at Divers Barbershop

Divers Barbershop's antique interior welcomes you with the same warm feeling as my first visit. Coming here always reminds me of the Louvre — maybe it's the wall color — I keep thinking of squeezing through crowds to see the Mona Lisa. Paris, on my mind now and then.

The overall look is clean, with lots of items arranged in harmony. After buying furniture for our newlywed home, I realized how surprisingly hard it is to put together so many pieces so they actually work together. Since then I've found myself paying more attention to interiors like this. Anyway, a great shop. It might not be for everyone, but instead of a plain white-and-metal clean look, this unique style makes it even better.

Over a month overdue: cut + down perm with Barber JAEM

This time I booked a cut + down perm with Barber JAEM. Here's a before photo for comparison. I usually get a cut every three weeks, but couldn't find the time, so it had gone over a month and was seriously messy.

My hair was so messy I only wore hats out. I notice every time — when my hair doesn't look right, I dress more carelessly and let myself go a bit overall. So even though I get regular cuts, I never mind spending money on my hair. Getting it cut the way I actually like matters more.

A natural down perm shaped to fit the face

Instead of a down perm that clings too tightly, Barber JAEM recommended a natural style shaped to my face — which also seems to be the current trend. In the end, I really liked the recommended style.
