I went to Yeonnam-dong in Seoul!! 💌 There's a place absolutely famous for Yeonnam-dong Korean food!! So I went to check it out!! Everyone with me lives in Seoul except me, and 📍 Susu Yeonnam!! turned out everyone already knew about it! It's gone properly viral, and I ate really, really well there — let's get into the post~!~!~!

Where is Susu Yeonnam, and what are its hours and parking?

Susu Yeonnam is on the 1st floor at 22 Donggyo-ro 38an-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 527m from Hongik University Station Exit 3. It's open daily 11:30-21:30, with a break time of 15:00-17:00 and last order at 20:30.

There are aprons by the drink fridge, so if you need one, feel free to grab one!!

Susu Yeonnam has an open-kitchen style, so you can see the chef cooking directly!! Watching the chef work hard on the food made me even more excited for the taste!

🌟 Susu Yeonnam is running a review event, so make sure to join!!🌟 If you participate, they give you ☝🏻 either a soda or a black sesame perilla oil ice cream, so how could I not — though I couldn't do it because of my train time ㅠㅠ!! But everyone else, please do it and try it!!! haha

✔️ They set each seat with plates, cups, and utensils! Having them set it up for you gives a real 'being taken care of' feeling?? I really loved this thoughtful touch!

What surprised me was 💟 when I added something to the order, it also showed up on my friend sitting next to me's screen!!! Everyone can just look at their own phone and add food to the order~~!!!! I'd never seen this kind of new tech before

✔️ Susu Yeonnam serves barley tea~~ I love barley tea so much~~~~ and Susu Yeonnam didn't let me down here either!! Very much a proper Yeonnam-dong Korean restaurant!

✔️ Susu Yeonnam's beef brisket perilla cream sujebi (hand-torn dough soup)! This one was seriously delicious! So good that we finished it off within 5 minutes of it arriving~~~ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

With the beef brisket perilla cream sujebi, you just mix the brisket and perilla leaves in well!! 🌟🌟The cream flavor is seriously, seriously, seriously good!!!🌟🌟 You absolutely have to order this!! After eating the sujebi I thought, Yeonnam-dong Korean food really is different, different!

We finished the sujebi first since it came out earlier, then the yukhoe bibimbap, kimchi pancake, and cheese pork belly all came out around the same time!! So I got a shot of them all together~~~ The visuals are seriously so good!!

✔️ Susu Yeonnam's five-color hanwoo yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) bibimbap! I really love yukhoe bibimbap~~~ never thought I'd have a natural encounter with it in Seoul, in Yeonnam-dong no less~~~~ Everyone! On your Yeonnam-dong date, how about Korean food instead of Western food? Personally, I highly!! recommend it!

Chewy beef brisket kimchi pancake, 18,000 won

✔️ Susu Yeonnam's chewy beef brisket kimchi pancake (jeon). Everyone, this kimchi pancake is genuinely the real deal!! I do like kimchi pancakes in general~~ but this one is truly different ㅠㅠㅠ 🌟🌟Especially how well it goes with the beef brisket!🌟🌟 ‼️ The sourness of the kimchi doubles your appetite!

Dip it in the sauce that comes with it for double the flavor!!!

Cheese-topped geotjeori with boiled pork belly, 35,000 won

✔️ Susu Yeonnam's cheese-topped geotjeori (fresh kimchi) with boiled pork belly (bossam)! I was most excited for this one! And as expected, it didn't disappoint? Let's start with the visual~~

The final key point of the pork belly and geotjeori combo!!! Cheese 🌟🌟🌟this cheese is really the whole point ㅠㅠ🌟🌟🌟 The savory taste of the cheese, the tender pork belly, and the geotjeori cutting through the richness ㅠㅠ this three-way combo!!! Is truly, truly the best! Please, everyone, try it!!
