On a Saturday at lunch, my husband and I went to Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch (미분당 동탄역점) for a tasty meal. Why am I collecting Dongtan restaurants lately? We live in Yongin now, but we plan to move to Dongtan in two years through the housing subscription lottery, so I'm building my restaurant list ahead of time. This time it's Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, famous as a Dongtan pho spot. We already visit Mibundang often, but this was our first time at this branch, so I went in with high hopes~~

Where is Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, and how is parking?

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is on the ground floor of the Dongtan Station Richian building, and you can use the building's underground parking. The garage is spacious, going down to B4, so parking was really easy.

After parking, step out of the ground-floor shopping arcade and Mibundang is right there! It's all decked out in wood, and it was nice to see that exterior again after a while.

How ordering and waiting work at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch

You order first at a kiosk outside the shop and then wait. There's also a separate menu board out front, so you can look over the menu at your leisure.

Since you order in advance, the food comes out quickly once you sit down, so turnover feels fast!~

Mibundang is such a famous chain that every branch tends to be busy, and the Dongtan Station Branch is no different: a wait at lunchtime is the norm! We waited about 5 minutes before going in.

Something that touched me while waiting out front... there was a cold water jug of hutgae-su (oriental raisin tree tea) for waiting customers, and they even had parasols to shield you from the sun. (Such a smart touch!)

Does Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch do takeout?

According to the sign out front, takeout is available. You can choose fully cooked or half-cooked takeout. There are lots of officetels (studio apartments) nearby, so it's perfect for people living alone and office workers~!

Inside Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch and its bar-table seating

Inside, it's Mibundang's signature all-bar-table seating. The space has a Japanese ramen shop vibe, and I love that feel. The room goes back deeper than I expected, so there were plenty of seats, and since noodles don't take long to eat, turnover was fast.

We were shown to the very back seats. Best of all, the atmosphere was quiet for eating, which I liked even more. Mibundang, I hope you stay loved as a Dongtan pho favorite!!

There are hooks on the wall for coats and bags, plus cute mask hangers and even hair ties for women with long hair.

Sauces were neatly lined up on the shelf above our heads, and the utensils were kept in drawers in the bar table, a really smart use of space.

In front of the bar table are instructions on how to use Mibundang and how to eat it for the best flavor, so first-timers can enjoy it easily.

How are the assorted fried bites (₩8,500)?

The assorted fried bites (5 types, 8 pieces) cost ₩8,500 and come as 8 fried pieces in 5 varieties. I ordered them to try a bit of everything, and I was really happy with them!!

My favorite was the jjajo (Vietnamese fried spring roll). It was super crispy and moist inside, and went wonderfully with the pho. The assortment is just right for nibbling on one at a time between bites of noodles.

Brisket pho (₩10,000) vs. brisket and flank pho (₩12,500)

The brisket pho is ₩10,000, the basic menu item my husband ordered. Wide slices of brisket covered the whole bowl, so it looked appetizing from the first glance.

I ordered the ₩12,500 brisket and flank pho. Maybe because it has both brisket and flank, it looked like way more meat.

I lifted up the noodles... and there were really a lot of them.

The springy, chewy rice noodles soaked up the broth yet didn't go soggy, keeping their texture to the end. The two kinds of meat, flank and brisket, add richness that made me smile as I ate. On top of that, Mibundang offers free refills of noodles and bean sprouts! Even big eaters can get properly full.

How to mix sauces into Mibundang pho

My husband added sauces and mixed them in, following the how-to-eat guide written on the bar table wall. That was a real treat too~~ The plain broth is delicious as is, but using the various sauces gives it a different charm, so you don't get tired of it and can enjoy it even more.

How is the broth at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch?

The broth, oh my.... Mibundang's broth is a clear, clean Vietnamese-style broth that isn't greasy at all and is very light. The more you drink, the fresher your mouth feels, so you keep going back for another sip...

Overall verdict on Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch

The brisket and flank pho had so much meat that I shared some with my husband along the way. It was such a satisfying lunch together after a while. Mibundang is a brand we trust anyway, but the Dongtan Station Branch didn't let us down either. Once we move to Dongtan, we'll be visiting even more often!!! If you're looking for a good pho place in Dongtan, I confidently recommend Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch~💛
