Dongtan Station pho, 1-hr free parking & stir-fry-style mix: Mibundang
In short
Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is a pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) restaurant on the ground floor of the shopping arcade in front of Lotte Castle at Dongtan Station in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. The blogger and her husband arrived around opening time, waited in line, then had brisket pho, brisket-flank-tendon pho and the mixed fried platter, and found the 1 hour of free underground parking and the quiet bar-table seating comfortable. With a clean, refreshing broth and five crispy sides, Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is a pho spot worth recommending near Dongtan Station.

I heard that Mibundang, famous for its pho, has a branch near Dongtan Station too, so I went with my husband 🤗

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch hours and parking
Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00, and closed every Tuesday. It's in the shops in front of Lotte Castle at Dongtan Station, and the building has an underground parking lot, so we could drive comfortably even on a hot day. If you tell the staff when you pay, they give you 1 hour of free parking.

How to order at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, and takeout
You prepay at the kiosk next to the restaurant entrance, then wait. Besides dining in, they offer fully cooked takeout and half-cooked takeout, and takeout orders add a ₩500 environmental charge.
They recommend fully cooked takeout only if you can eat within 15 minutes; you just pour the broth into the container and eat. Half-cooked takeout can be easily finished at home following the enclosed instructions. My husband and I wanted freshly made, piping-hot pho, so we dined in.

Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch menu: what we ordered
There were five pho options:
- Brisket pho (chadolbagi)
- Flank pho (yangji)
- Brisket and flank pho
- Brisket, flank and tendon pho
- Tendon pho
The sides were sweet potato rolls, scallop rolls, potato-wrapped shrimp, wedding shumai (dumplings) and buffalo wings, plus a mixed fried platter (modeumjeon-sik) that lets you try every side. That day we ordered brisket pho, brisket-flank-tendon pho and the mixed fried platter.

Is there a wait even at opening time?
Even though we came around opening time, there was a wait! As you'd expect from a famous Dongtan Station pho spot, they keep parasols and cold water out so the wait isn't a struggle, which I loved 😀

Atmosphere and seating at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch
Mibundang is a space where anyone can eat in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere, and the rule is to keep conversation low so you don't disturb the person next to you!

The inside is set up as bar tables, and everyone was eating quietly, so my husband and I could focus on our meal too!

Side dishes and table sauces
Once you sit down, they set out pickled radish, jalapeños, pickled onions and cold water.

There are also three sauces on the table, chili sauce, hoisin sauce and hot sauce, so you can take as much as you like.

The cutlery is individually wrapped, so it felt extra clean. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch everything being cooked, which made me trust the food.

Brisket pho: taste and how to eat it
My brisket pho came out first, with good-quality brisket

wrapped around the bean sprouts and rice noodles, so I was really excited.

How to eat Mibundang pho: first put noodles, bean sprouts and meat in a bowl, add onion and a little hot sauce, and mix it all up!

The hot sauce is quite spicy, so if you can't handle heat, I recommend adding just a little! Mixed like this, it tasted like stir-fried rice noodles, which was a fun change. You can also pour hot sauce around the pho bowl once for a spicy, fiery broth, but I liked the clean default flavor, so I ate it as is 😊

Brisket-flank-tendon pho and the broth
My husband's brisket-flank-tendon pho let him enjoy a variety of cuts, brisket, flank and tendon, and it was really good!

And Mibundang's kicker is this rich pho broth! It was clean yet refreshing, the kind of taste that melts your fatigue away 😋

What comes in the mixed fried platter?
The mixed fried platter at Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch comes with all five: buffalo wings, potato-wrapped shrimp, wedding shumai, sweet potato rolls and scallop rolls, so you can try one of each, which was great! Mild pho with crispy sides was such a good combination 👏👏👏
I recommend Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch as a pho spot near Dongtan Station ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
