Potato & beef half-and-half pizza in Songridan-gil: Pizza Never Sleeps

On the first day of the holiday break, my husband and I went to Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch (피자네버슬립스 송리단길점), a pizza spot in Songridan-gil. He had been saying for days that he wanted pizza, and I remembered a place I'd visited with friends before, so we went back after a long time. We ordered a half-and-half pizza with french fries and beef piled generously on handmade dough, and it tasted just as good as I remembered 😆 Let me introduce this Songpanaru Station pizza place with its antique interior and chandelier 🍕🍕🍕

Where is Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch, and where can you park?

Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is about a 3-minute walk from Songpanaru Station Exit 1, right at the start of Songridan-gil. There is no dedicated parking lot, so if you drive, it's best to use the nearby Songpa Neighborhood Park public parking lot.

It's close to the subway station, so it's easy to reach by public transport. We had other plans that day, so we took public transport instead of driving.

The restaurant has no parking of its own, so if you come by car you'll need a nearby public lot. I recommend the Songpa Neighborhood Park public lot, which is relatively cheap for Songridan-gil: it's open 24 hours and costs ₩150 per 5 minutes, or ₩1,800 per hour. It's so cheap that we use it often ourselves!

Come into the Songridan-gil alley and turn right at the building, and Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is right there. You'll see the Pizza Never Sleeps sign and the entrance leading down to the basement.

Antique interior with a chandelier

The first thing I noticed when I walked inside was the huge chandelier. With the floral wallpaper, picture frames and white pillars, the whole place felt antique yet upscale. It's a bit different from a typical pizza place, so it was fun just looking around. There are plenty of tables too, so it looked good for a date or a get-together with friends!

We were the first customers that day, so we could take photos of the place at our leisure, but by the time we finished eating and left, the room was almost full. It really is a consistently popular Songridan-gil pizza spot, haha. There's also a self-service corner on one side with water, paper cups, napkins and so on.

Pizza Never Sleeps half-and-half prices and sizes

For half-and-half at Pizza Never Sleeps, the surcharge is based on the pricier of the two pizzas you pick: ₩2,000 extra for a regular and ₩3,000 for a large. A regular is 12 inches, good for about 2-3 people, and a large is 16 inches, good for about 3-4 people.

Pizza Never Sleeps sells many kinds of pizza, including potato and beef as well as pepperoni and cheese. Since there were two of us, we ordered a regular-size half-and-half so we could enjoy half potato and half beef.

Each table has an ordering tablet, so you can look over the menu and prices at your seat and order easily, which was convenient :) There's also a Naver receipt review event going on, so write a review and you can score free french fries or a glass of draft beer!

Pizza Never Sleeps serves kimchi, jalapeños, garlic dipping sauce and a spicy chili sauce with the pizza by default. When it started to feel greasy, I had some kimchi or a jalapeño and alternated between the two sauces, which let me enjoy the pizza to the very end.

Potato pizza: do the fries really cover the whole dough?

The potato pizza at Pizza Never Sleeps came out with so many french fries on it that you couldn't even see the dough. It's the one I always order whenever I visit! Just look at this sight~ If you love french fries like I do, the potato pizza is a definite recommendation!!!

Unlike ordinary potato pizzas that are just salty, this one has a subtle sweetness that gets more appealing the more you eat 💛 The fries, cheese and bacon go together well, so it was soft yet filling, and with so many toppings even a single slice made me pretty full.

The handmade dough is thick but soft, not tough or dry. The mild dough supports the generous toppings well, so even with all those fries it never felt too heavy. The combination of the sauces and the fries was the best too. It's my favorite pizza 🍕🍕🍕

What does the beef pizza taste like?

The beef pizza at Pizza Never Sleeps combines beef, onion and jalapeños for a sweet flavor like bulgogi (Korean marinated beef). The big chunks of meat also have a subtle smoky grill flavor, so the smell was amazing even before we took a bite.

The soft dough, salty cheese and generous beef went well together, and eating jalapeños in between kept it fresh :) It's tasty as is, but the garlic dipping sauce adds a nutty richness, and dipping it in the slightly spicy chili sauce gave it yet another flavor 👍🏻 The sauces were a perfect match for the meat.

The potato pizza is sweet and soft, while the beef pizza is salty and rich like bulgogi, so I was glad we ordered the two as a half-and-half, haha. Next time we'll try a different combination!

We enjoyed a hearty helping of the pizza my husband had been craving for days at Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch. The handmade dough is soft and mild, and the potato and beef toppings were piled on generously, so even a regular size was filling for two. The pairing of the sweet, fry-covered potato pizza and the salty, bulgogi-like beef pizza was great too, and it was fun alternating between the two flavors. With the antique atmosphere and standout chandelier, it also seemed like a good place for a date.
