Bone soup restaurant near Uijeongbu Eulji Hospital: Yetnal Gyeongseong

Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch (옛날경성순대국 녹양점) is a newly opened sundaeguk (pork and blood sausage soup) and ppyeohaejangguk (pork bone soup) restaurant on the Yangju side of Eulji Hospital in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. A resident living between Ganeung-dong and Nokyang-dong came with her grandmother and ordered regular sundaeguk, sundaeguk without organs and ppyeohaejangguk, and received a free chapssal sundae for the September opening event. With broth thickened by freshly ground sesame, plenty of parking and a self-serve bar, Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk suits both solo meals and lunch with older family.

Uijeongbu new town pork belly grill at 11am opening: Cheonpo Hoegwan

Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch is a pork belly grill house near Hi-Mart in the Uijeongbu new town, Gyeonggi. Arriving right at the 11:00 opening, we ordered two servings of thick-cut pork belly (200g, 16,000 won each) and one serving of beef rolls, with generous helpings of domestic kimchi and minari (water celery). The kimchi cheese fried rice had to wait for a next visit at Cheonpo Hoegwan — the grilled meat alone was filling enough.
