Where is Cheonpo Hoegwan in Uijeongbu new town, and is there parking?

Cheonpo Hoegwan was located near the Hi-Mart in Uijeongbu's new town.

There was a spot right in front of the restaurant for one car, so we parked there too.

Arriving at the 11:00 opening: a spacious, spotless dining room

We did an opening run at 11am to get the pork belly, arriving as the first customers haha. Walking in, the place had a spacious, super clean vibe. There was plenty of seating further inside too, which looked great for group visits.

Ordering thick-cut pork belly and beef rolls

Trying to decide what to order, we wanted to try a bit of everything, so we got two servings of pork belly and one serving of beef rolls. They also had lunch specials like a bulgogi set and sundae gopchang jeongol (blood sausage and beef tripe hot pot), and a lot of people seemed to be in for lunch. And instead of regular steamed rice, they serve stone-pot rice!

Free refills of domestic kimchi and minari (water celery)

The basic side dishes came with minari (water celery), kimchi, and shredded green onion on the grill, plus wrap vegetables like lettuce, perilla leaves, napa cabbage, and even more minari. They were generous with the minari right from the start. The pork belly was 200g, thick and hearty, and priced kindly at ₩16,000!

One of Cheonpo Hoegwan's strengths is the free-flow domestic kimchi and minari! Honestly, kimchi and minari grilled with meat can't not be delicious, right?!

On my previous visit, they didn't have minari kimchi pancake, but this time they had it available for us to grill ourselves.

Beef tartare and spicy doenjang (soybean paste) came out as basic side dishes too, making for such a lavish spread! Now, time for the eating show to begin!!

Pork belly and minari wraps with the side dishes that come free

I made a solid wrap with pork belly and minari, and pork belly plus minari really can't not be delicious! And here at Cheonpo Hoegwan, the minari is tasty, but the kimchi being domestic really made it truly delicious too!!

I can't eat beef tartare, so my boyfriend finished it all, and he said it was delicious too.

The spicy doenjang had mussels and cheongyang chili in it, so it was on the spicy side. Eating it together with everything else was seriously so good!

Beef rolls stuffed with minari and enoki mushrooms

After finishing the pork belly, we grilled the beef rolls next. The beef rolls are made with thin-sliced beef belly rolled up with minari and enoki mushrooms inside.

The combination of minari and enoki mushrooms inside with the meat seasoning worked so well together. The special soy sauce it came with had garlic in it, so dipping into it cut down on the richness and made it clean and really tasty!

Since it was broad daylight, we couldn't drink beer, so we had cola instead haha. Lastly, I really wanted to try the kimchi cheese fried rice, but my boyfriend and I were both too full and just couldn't manage it, ugh. Next time I visit, I'll definitely have to eat the kimchi cheese fried rice too!

And while we were eating, maybe because it was lunchtime, everyone around us seemed to be ordering the lunch menu!
