Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch is a café on the 4th floor of a building near Exit 6 of Mangpo Station. Look for the standing sign at the building entrance, head up to the 4th floor, and you'll find a comfortable, charming space! (There's an elevator.)

Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch is an open, stylish space on the 4th floor. My first impression when I stepped out of the elevator and into the café was, "It's so clean and spacious!"

From the sofa seats to the warm wood tones, it felt comfortable the whole time I was there.

Does Hongrad have library-style solo seats for studying?

What really stood out at Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch was how well the solo seating area is set up!

The solo seats are cozily separated with partitions, like a study room or reading nook, and they have power outlets and desk lamps too. Among Mangpo Station cafés, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who studies at cafés or comes to work on a laptop.

Overall it's quiet and pleasant, so it's easy to come alone, and it's also a perfect mood for a calm chat with a friend or partner.

That day I ordered a good spread so I could properly enjoy the desserts and coffee at Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch!

The flat white at Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch doesn't have too much milk, so the nutty, rich flavor of the espresso came through strongly! It was a really good pairing with dessert.

Kaya jam toast (₩6,000)

The kaya jam toast (toast with kaya, a sweet coconut egg jam) comes with sweet kaya jam and a thick slab of unsalted butter sandwiched between crisply toasted bread. It's prettily plated with cute banana slices on the side, so it's a dessert that cheers you up just by looking at it. The mix of savory and sweet is charming!

Hongrad Brownie (₩7,500)

As Hongrad's signature dessert, the Hongrad brownie wins you over from the looks alone! A big scoop of cold vanilla ice cream with a cute face drawn on it sits on top of a fudgy, rich chocolate brownie. The sweetness of the brownie plus the chill of the ice cream melted away the tiredness of a long day.

Weekday time sale and pet- and kid-friendly policy

Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch also runs a morning sale on weekdays from 10:00 to 11:30: an Americano + kaya toast set for ₩9,900!

It's a pet-friendly (Welcome Pet Zone) and kid-friendly (Welcome Kids Zone) café, so visiting is even easier.

Is Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch worth it for studying?

Spacious, pleasant and quiet, it's perfect for studying or laptop work, and you also get special desserts and good coffee. I was very happy with Hongrad Mangpo Station Branch!
