Jangji Station Exit 4 café: hojicha waffle cone at Wunder Coffee Bar

Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Outlet Garden5 branch is a roastery café in the middle of the B1 food square at Hyundai Outlet Garden5, connected to Jangji Station in Songpa, Seoul. While shopping, the writer bought a hojicha soft serve cone, a hojicha-vanilla twist mix cup and a citrus grapefruit juice, and especially loved how the nutty, toasty hojicha paired with the waffle cone. Wunder Coffee Bar has no seating of its own, but it is a good stop whenever you crave nutty hojicha ice cream.

Pot rice restaurant in Jangji: salmon soboro seaweed wraps at Gomemui

Gomemui Hyundai Gardenfive is a Japanese-style premium sotbap (pot rice) and tonkatsu restaurant in the B1 Food Street of Hyundai City Outlet Gardenfive's Techno Hall, a 2–3 minute walk from Jangji Station in Songpa, Seoul. On a second visit to Gomemui after the Munjeong branch, the writer paired wild sea bream and seasonal greens pot rice (17,200 won) with a mini loin katsu (6,000 won) and wrapped salmon soboro pot rice (17,000 won) in seaweed with seed jeotgal (salted seafood relish). The verdict: Gomemui's salmon soboro pot rice was the 'pot rice of a lifetime' the writer discovered on this second visit.

Munjeong pot rice restaurant for a chilly day: steak rice at Gome Mui

Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong is a Japanese pot rice (sotbap) and tonkatsu restaurant on B1 of Tera Tower at Munjeong Station in Songpa, Seoul. On a chilly day, the writer had steak pot rice with tonkatsu (steak pot rice ₩17,000) and perilla oil braised mushroom pot rice (₩14,500), then finished with nurungji sungnyung (scorched-rice tea). Tender wagyu steak, fragrant perilla oil and seed jeotgal wrapped in seaweed made it a satisfying meal, so Gome Mui Songpa Munjeong is a good stop near Munjeong Station when you want a warm, filling set meal.

Munjeong-dong flower shop: Chuseok rattan basket fresh for days, Habio

Habio Flower by Su is a fresh-flower shop on the 1st floor of Building 110 at Park Habio in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Over the Chuseok holiday, the writer reserved and picked up the basic-size (S) flower basket for 85,000 won as a gift for their parents, and loved its pastel peach-and-pink colors, generous size and flowers that stayed fresh for days. Habio Flower by Su is a Munjeong-dong flower shop worth recommending even to people who are picky about color and freshness.
