Gangnam waxing salon for a Brazilian and belly wax combo: Super Waxing

There was a place I noticed in passing near Gangnam Station and kept in mind — Super Waxing Gangnam.

My friends had gotten waxing done here before and strongly recommended it, saying they use a low-irritation waxing product from Lycon and, more than anything, the waxing time is really fast. So this time I visited myself and got a Brazilian wax and belly wax together.

Super Waxing Gangnam is about a 3-minute walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, so it was easy to get to by public transit. It's located on the 3rd floor of the City Building at 32 Teheran-ro 1-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Heading out toward Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, it wasn't hard to find on foot — the yellow sign with the red-lettered 'superwaxing' logo is visible on the building in front of the City Building parking lot, so even on a first visit it wasn't difficult to spot. You go up to the 3rd floor of the building that has Lara Coin Noraebang. It's also accessible from Sinnonhyeon Station — about a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Line 9/Sinbundang Line, apparently.

A waiting area that made it easy to relax

Walking into Super Waxing Gangnam, I liked that there was a separate waiting area. Even when you arrive right on time for your appointment at a waxing salon, you sometimes have to wait a bit for the previous session to finish — having a spot to sit and wait made things a lot more comfortable.

I also tried one of the jellies in the waiting area, and it was surprisingly tasty — it kind of stuck with me. Having a little snack while waiting also helped loosen up the nerves a bit.

A separate shower room too

When it was my turn, I moved to the treatment room. Sometimes a shower is needed before waxing, and Super Waxing Gangnam has a shower room set up separately, outside the treatment rooms.

I personally liked this part too. There was almost no chance of running into other customers, so I could use it comfortably, and towels were already prepared inside. A robe was also provided in advance, so I didn't have to bring anything extra and could use it with ease.

Getting a Brazilian wax and belly wax together

This time at Super Waxing Gangnam I got a belly wax along with the Brazilian wax.

One of the reasons my friends recommended this place was how fast the waxing goes, and having tried it myself, the whole process really was quite quick.

Waxing time can stretch depending on the area being treated, but the skilled, fast hands made it go by faster than I expected.

As my friends had mentioned, they do use a low-irritation waxing product from Lycon, which I was a bit excited about, and since everything moved quickly, the whole treatment felt low-pressure overall.

The belly waxing was more satisfying than expected

This was my first time getting a belly wax along with the rest, and I was more satisfied than I expected. It's not an area I usually pay much attention to, but after waxing, my skin felt so much smoother!

When I touched it lightly with my hand, there wasn't any rough patch left, just smoothness, which put me in a good mood for no particular reason. Compared to just getting a Brazilian wax, having the belly area cleaned up too gave the whole thing a more finished, tidied-up feeling. During a season like summer when you wear more skin-baring clothes, this kind of detail quietly matters, and getting it taken care of in one go felt satisfying to me.

If you're looking for fast waxing

Getting this Gangnam Station waxing done myself, I could see why my friends recommended Super Waxing Gangnam. Being close to Exit 11 of Gangnam Station is a plus for accessibility, and having a separate waiting area and shower room made the whole experience, from arrival through before and after the treatment, fairly comfortable.

Above all, since the waxing moves along quickly, it seems like a good option for anyone who finds long treatment times a bit much. If you want to get other areas cleaned up neatly along with a Brazilian wax like I did, I'd recommend getting a belly wax done together too. The smooth, tidied-up feeling was better than I expected, so this treatment was quite satisfying for me overall.
